Store Trainee Steals PS3 & Gets Busted!

A trainee manager at GAME attempted to steal a Playstation 3 and even though it's company policy to check employee's before leaving, he took the PS3 out the back door and hid it till the right time arrives, according to The Courier.

The employee got busted and lost his £15,000 per year job and also is now on a criminal record. This makes it very difficult to find a future job. Also he must pay £100. What a mess I guess.

A trainee manager at a GAME store in Leamington Spa, England was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 after pleading guilty to the theft of a PlayStation 3 from his work.

    I don't know about the economy in the UK but 15k/year isn't much here (Canada) I believe that'd be classed in the low income bracket. If managers make that, what do normal ol' employees make?

      The UK has a very good economy, the pound is worth so much more than every currency in the world... £15,000 is about $30,000 CAD, though GAME even in a managerial position is still at the low end of the pay scale in the UK, i mean i could get paid more working in a shopping mall... Though i wouldn't i get about 4 times more than that guy got for his yearly earnings.

    Yeah, I want a job at a game store partly because it is the only thing I really have experience in, and I can use the discounts since 99% of my purchases tend to be games, or game related...At least, these days...

    But yeah, risky move, in fact, downright stupid, considering they'd NOTICE that a PS3 is missing eventually anyhow, and there are only so many people who could steal it...

    I was expecting to read something about a cashier nicking the PS3, not a bloody store manager lmao. £15k p/a is weak, I was making that 3 years ago when I was 19 lol.

    The fool needs to get a real job (..well, he has blown it now lol). Retail store managers only get good money when they are promoted to area manager, and then that's basically the end of the line.

    Pretty pointless and greedy, considering he could have got it cheaper than most people anyway. His own fault, he'll be looking for another job for a while.

    There is no need to steal, they scan everything and have how many Ps3s are still in the store on record. If they see one is missing, BOOM, they break of the camara and they see him take it out, BOOM, he loses his job and has to pay money. I don't know how idiotic you can get.
