Site owner of acidmods, cyberpyrot has modded his Guitar Hero 3 guitar controller to include a 7" LCD. Included is a hacked up video controler board which is able to stream video from his TV into the LCD. Because of the sheer size of this and the limited space inside of the controller, he was no longer able to strum. The sollution? add a magnetic switch inside which allows him to play the guitar with a magnetic pick. To take things even farther he added a touch screen allowing you to contol the wammy bar simply by sweeping your fingers around the panel.

Nice, but I tell you what would have been so much better. A fold out 7" LCD screen that folds out so you can see it yourself. Because he can't really see the LCD in the guitar and if he tried it would be awkward. If one folded out he could just play it from his 360 without needing another TV.

I too, was thinking it would be rather awkward to play >_>

A fold out LCD would be good, though it would be awkward to place, I would imagine....Maybe fold out from where the current LCD is placed, so the screen faces up, so all he would have to do is look down?

The whole thing is pointless as it is, tbh unless the touchscreen does something the controls cannot. Btw, I could've sworn he was playing on the PS3 there.

My, that's pretty impressive. Kind of useless, but impressive, haha.

Couldn't put it better lol. It's awesome that he's done it and it obviously wasn't easy, but it's not something people will be excited about too much I think. Still, nice work.

Yup Impressive but uuseless seems to be the best way to describe it, I'd rather just hook it up to a tv and play normally but still it is kind of neat.

I think it's a creative outlet, rather than an actual obsession for the game. Modders will change anything really just for that 'cooler' factor.
