GamingShogun Takes on TIME's Top Ten Games of 2007

GamingShogun responds to the Top Ten Video Games of 2007, recently compiled by TIME. They end up disagreeing with several parts of the list and offer up alternatives.

The Top 10 According to TIME:

* Halo 3
* The Orange Box (although that is technically MANY games)
* Rock Band
* Super Mario Galaxy
* BioShock
* Call of Duty 4
* Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
* Mass Effect
* Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
* God of War 2

Now, far be it from me to disagree with Time...I have to call shenanigans on a few things here. First: Halo 3, while a great game, is not as good as BioShock. Halo 3 is still plagued by problems seen in previous games where both level design and gameplay are concerned. BioShock, on the other hand, was a superb gaming experience and should have easily been the top of the bunch on the list.

    Lmao, Ace Combat 6 sucked and God of War 2 came out last year, not 2007, wtf were they smoking?

    I have no idea, but that list was just very..."uninformed". They just took a bunch of "buzz-games" out there and threw them together.

    No, this article is about GamingShogun's changes to the TIME list, but the article's poster put up the TIME list making it a bit confusing. Click the link for the changes.

    God of War shouldn't be on there anyways, it was a good game but I wouldn't place it in the top ten, to be honest. I do agree with many of the rest, though, they were the corner stones for the consoles this year in many cases.

    I don't really agree with Ace Combat and Rock Band being in the top 10. The rest seem fitting though.

    Maybe they need to start compiling lists on actual sales figures and not someone's rush to get a story in before the deadline.

    Orange Box is fitting as well but they need to get Rock band and a few others off as well and name specific Orange Box Games
