Ever wated the best screen to play your beautiful games on? Well Alienware wants to help you with that, by showing a proto-type of it's new CURVED screen. Go to the source for specs.

I've been browsing CES coverage all day and this is definitely the coolest thing I've seen so far: Alienware's curved screen. Any gamers looking for 'total immersion' will want to get their hands on one of these and they can, in the second half of this year.

I can think of a lot of games I can play on that... like... ... ... World of Warcraft.
That was all she could think of unfortunately. It would be a waste to play WoW on this screen. Oh the endless action in WoW, it's so intense I need a big screen to really feel the life sucking powers of the game

The screen looks nice though, I can only dream of playing on it one day.

I'd rather use it for other games like Call of Duty 4. Seems better for FPS, at least imo, getting a 'widescreen' kind of game going.

Or watch a cool movie, also a good use of such a screen.

Ah yes that's true. Buy a fullscreen version of the movie, and watch it on that. xD

Errrr, anybody else (other than myself, and Storm perhaps) see the big problem with this? It is SO wide that it would stretch images until they are so distorted, it would be like playing a game reflected off a fun house mirror >_>

MAYBE some multi screen games would look good on this, but I have my doubts on most games...

BTW: Wouldn't you probably need a couple of video cards to play with that curved screen?

I think this is essentially two screens stuck together, and curved....The curving makes sense (sorta like the same thing with glasses), so that is good...But like I said, you may very well need two video cards (unless you don't mind your game really stretched out)

The resolution is 2900x900 or something like that, which, is totally not suitable for many games unless they support widescreen. However, this is not a standard widescreen size so yes, it'll be very stretched out
