Well from the looks of the article it certainly seems to be the case. GamePlayer have looked over past interviews and information to break down the reasons as to why it seems that 2008 will see more RPG's released on the XBOX360.
From the fact that the (now-ex) Vice-President of Microsoft's XBOX division having drinks with FF series's co-founder (in 2004 mind you) resulted in Mistwalker, the company formed by the latter party after Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within tanked at the big screen, producing TWO exclusive RPG's for the XBOX360 - Blue Dragon & Lost Odyssey.
With the original XBOX certainly lacking in the Japanese RPG side, the XBOX360's support for JRPG's is different, and with three already released on the console, things seem to be changing. Read the article for more reasons as to why 2008 is the year for RPG's to go to the XBOX360.
So what does 2008, and beyond, hold for RPGs on the Xbox 360? There are certainly some tantalising prospects ahead. Mistwalker was up first with its second Xbox 360 exclusive, Lost Odyssey. The tale of Kaim Argonar, a man whos lived for 1,000 years, it takes place over several generations, you could end up finishing the adventure with the great grandson of your original companion, bringing to the fore the theme of the loneliness of the immortal. You know, a bit like the Highlander, movie, only without Christopher Lamberts dour Scottish impersonation.

RPGs don't really focus on online gameplay after all, unless they are the MMORPG types >_> I want to see a sweeping fantasy epic....
put out 4 generic jrpgs on the 360, and a special edition console with hello kitty painted on it, and the japanese 360 sales will triple.
Or better yet Hello Kitty with Cloud and Gundam on the front, Japan would riot!
