OMGHorror.com have listed the 20 upcoming horror games that they are dying to play, including Resident Evil 5, Doom 4 and The Sadness, just to name a few.

Though I couldn't help but notice the lack of Fatal Frame IV on the list. Even Imabikisou would have been a better choice than not-so-horror games like Ghostbusters or Castlevania.

#19: Sadness
The upcoming survival horror game Sadness has caught our attention for several reasons. The first is the game's plot which involves a mother who must protect her narcoleptic son after they survive a train wreck. The other reason the game has us interested are the graphics which are done entirely in black and white.

#13: Siren: Blood Curse
Sony's genuinely horrifying Siren really never got the attention it deserved on the PS2, and that's probably why it's coming to the PS3 in a re-imagining of the original game told through the perspectives of all new characters, a new storyline, a new graphics engine (translation: only the kickass story of the original will be the same). If you're looking for a high quality horror title to play in addition to Resident Evil and Silent Hill, Siren: Blood Curse should be a good game to pick up.

#11: Project Origin
For those who don't know, Project Origin is the sequel to the popular horror shooter F.E.A.R. and is not called F.E.A.R. 2 due to the previous game's company owning the license. Despite the confusing name, you can expect all the paranormal action of the original and more once we see Project Origin in action, which is toted as having more variety than F.E.A.R. and open-environments.

#8: Silent Hill: Homecoming
Konami's atmospherically surreal answer to Resident Evil is any but a poor man's version of the latter--in fact, some people actually prefer Silent Hill's unique brand of frightening imagery to that of RE's. The newest game in the horror franchise, Silent Hill: Homecoming, tells the tale of Alex Shepherd, a soldier who after returning home from the war discovers that his family is missing and eventually finds himself in Silent Hill.

#1: Aliens: Colonial Marines
With no new Alien sequels in the foreseeable future, Aliens: Colonial Marines is a welcome return to the Alien saga for fans that picks up shortly after where Alien 3 left off. In the game, you'll control a squad of colonial marines who have been ordered to rescue several military personnel, one of which is Ellen Ripley, blowing away any xenomorphs that get in your way. It almost makes up for two wretched AVP movies in a row.

Saw... Can't say I'm particularly dying to play this one...

Sadness sounds interesting, might look it up, depending on the platform(s) it's coming to.

Castle Wolfenstein might be good. I liked "Return to Castle Wolfenstein", so I'll probably get this one, too.

Witches... Slaying grotesque creatures, playing as half-naked witches. Don't know about this one...

I'm looking forward to Siren: Blood Curse. I'll definitely pick it up.

Dead Space, judging from the trailers, looks pretty unimpressive to me. Looks like it has an Army of Two style of gameplay, only difference is that you're alone...

Silent Hill: Homecoming looks like it won't live up to the previous titles in the series, but I'll pick it up.

Resident Evil 5 looks good, though I don't like the Resi 4 type gameplay much. Will get it, as well.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is a must-buy for me. I'll get it on release, for sure.

Sadness is going to be on the Wii. I don't believe it's coming out for anything else. The controls are going to be mostly motion based.

Resident Evil 5, Siren, Silent Hill: Homecoming, an maybe Sadness are the only ones on the list that I'm really interested in buying.

And I'll porbably rent Ghostbusters and Alone in the Dark.

Some of those games listed weren't even horror. Doesn't look like they did their research too well.
There are a fair few upcoming horrors that should have been up there instead (like, as mentioned, Fatal Frame IV and even Imabikisou ... despite the latter being a fairly little-known game).

You mean more like Resident Evil 4.

Only one I REALLY gotta get is Siren, Silent Hill is already off my list and RE5 was the closest thing to make it...but it never was a priority either.

Quite honestly, I believe there's a line between Horror and Shooter games...which just cuts off some games away from the list. I mean, Gears of War 2? Wtf, dude.

Doom 4 is the only reason to keep gaming for the next few years, Doom 3 was great and Doom 4 should be just as great from not only a technical standpoint but graphically and story based.

Doom 4 is probably the best game out of the list, that I want to get.

I can't wait for Sadness. It looks so interesting, and in all black and white it'll have another creepy element to it.

The Witches? Seems like they're trying to use 'sex sells' to sell that game....

Well, if there is a demo, I'll give it a try, anyhow...

I'm not a huge Horror Fan....But yeah, WTF? Fatal Frame IV isn't on the list?

Although I'm worried about how Silent Hill: Homecoming will turn out (what, with a new developer that doesn't have a very impressive list of games), I think I'll wind up getting it anyway... being the Silent Hill fan girl that I am...

    ..... Scary?

I never play scary games, because I am not dumb enough to be scared

You are missing out, there is an adrenaline rush caused by fear that is just undescribable, you know you are not in danger but that fear still comes through and it creates an immense high, playing horror games is just a buzz.

Ties in to why people will pay money to see scary movies or ride on roller coasters. =)

Let's see... I'll probably buy Gears of War 2, Resident Evil 5, BioShock 2, and maybe Aliens: Colonial Marines. Still unsure about Silent Hill: Homecoming.
