Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
18 hours 11 mins ago
Well it's fact: Some games take forever to complete and then, when its done, it makes you wonder why you bothered. Gamesradar have compiled a list of the games that served no purpose for completing.
Super Mario Galaxy, Shadow of Colossus, and Grand Theft Auto 3 are on the list, just to name a few.
Ever slogged away at a game for hours only to find that there's nothing waiting for you at the end of it? Or even worse, there is a reward but it's the gaming equivalent of a plate full of dry crackers after running a marathon?
We too have felt that pain, so here are our top 7 worst rewards in gaming. Starting with one of the best games of last year.
7) Super Mario Galaxy: Luigi
You've secured all 120 stars. You spent hours on Boo in a Box, even managing to get to a part of the level you shouldn't have been able to reach in your search for this hidden star, before you realised a shell would destroy all those mines around the shipwreck. Eureka! Or maybe that was just us...
But what a journey it is - that moving platform in the Battlestation and trying not to fall in Luigi's Purple Coins tested your gaming skills to the limit, but you did it.
And what do you get? A downloadable Super Mario Galaxy DS like the incredibly convincing fake video below would have us believe? No. We get to play the whole game again as Luigi to get the 121st star. You know, its-a-him. Great.
You know what? Though we love the game dearly and still believe it thoroughly deserves its 10/10 rating, we'll give that one a miss for the time being.

what a bunch of dorks. it took me 12 hours.
btw add to this list:
EVERY *bleep*ING NES, SNES, and Genesis game EVER.
it used to be reward enough to know you beat the damn game.
i guess that's because games used to be challenging though.
I always got a laugh out of the NES/Atari games that I would spend days upon days trying to complete, only to be rewarded with a blank screen and the words: "Congratulations, you beat the game!"
Apparently that $1.25 you spent saving the planet wasn't enough. =/
what a bunch of dorks. it took me 12 hours."
Yeah, which Pokemon game took 80 hours to beat the Elite Four? They're probably pretty dense.
Good list, and hell I agree with it. Not much of an achievement if you don't get good credit for it.
They should definitely add all Zelda games to that list. All we get is a "The End" screen when we beat it, and it takes us back to our last save. (with the exception of Wind Waker, we got to play the second quest in Link's pajamas, haha)
It's not like they're making you do 99 laps around Lon Lon Ranch.
You'd think they'd do a bit more than that, as a reward....Ummmmm, maybe.....A secret area where you can catch a lot of high level shinies?
Pokemon Diamond, I agree with. I kinda would have liked a reward after hours upon hours of playing.
Pokemon never had a reward getting every Pokemon on the Pokedex anyway, I hardly find Diamond and pearl to be worthy on the list and not every Pokemon in existence.
However getting every Pokemon on the dex is its own reward. What do you want after completing the Pokedex? A new Pokemon? Seriously there isn't anything you could possibly get after completing everything.
I don't believe Pokemon should even be 1st on the list.
Seriously, would any of you go running around your school screaming "I caught every Pokemon!!"? No.
Now, I agree with everything else on the list, especially Super Mario Galaxy.
