The survival-horror genre has a surprising amount of female protagonists, and many of them are well-known characters in the gaming world.

Mention Survival horror and it immediately garners images of Chris Redfield blasting zombies or James Sunderland bludgeoning pyramid heads with a plank of wood. But in the survival horror genre there are as many iconic female protagonists as there are male. Gaming_Issues pay homage to them today.

Am I the only one who prefers Jill over Claire? She was a better character, imo. And more iconic to the series.
I'm one of the people you're least likely to offend but this game did just that.
Oh and the woman who "played" Jill in the intro of RE1 was damn hot.
