Even though Electronic Arts is going through tough times, they are still putting effort into establishing IP with their sequel to Skate. They announced that there is a new demo for Skate 2 that will be available two weeks before the game's release.
The release of Skate 2 is due at the end of the month and EA's giving you a two-week cushion for trying out the demo. It'll hit Xbox Live (and probably PSN) on Thursday, January 8th.
The release date was announced on Xbox.com along with a sweepstakes for Xbox Live users.

Better get a demo for us PS3 owners
I didn't buy the first one, but I probably will, when it is cheaper. Ditto for this second one.
BTW: The first Skate demo played better on the 360 than the PS3. Did the full game (Skate 1) play better than the demo version? DId patches or whatever, improve it?
I hope there is other good stuff on the PS Store this week of course
Maybe it was just the joystick locations, but the PS3 version seemed less responsive, and the character was more prone to wiping out.
