It will be released on 16th April at 4,900 Yen. For more information about it, check out the source. They also have information on a special edition PS3.

Square Enix started off the week over in Japan with the announcement of a final release date for Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete. The Blu-ray version of the FFVII CG afterstory will hit Japan on April 16, priced at 4,900 yen (about $54).

PS3 owners throughout the world are likely keeping an eye on this product due to the planned inclusion of a Final Fantasy XIII demo. The demo will be available in two versions of the Advent Children package.

Shame it was a horrible movie and a demo doesn't justify a purchase of almost $100 (that's BEFORE I factor in shipping, as well). I'll wait for the full game thanks, Square Enix.

      PS Advent Children sucked.

Yeah, cause this is clearly intended for an audience outside of Japan.

Furthermore, it's intended for people who liked the movie. You might as well bitch about someone getting the Mirrors Edge carrying bag if you didn't like Mirrors Edge.

Basically my point is Sqaure Enix wasn't catering to your ass, and your sarcasm falls on def ears. Good try using Game Grep as your pedestal for an outburst though. I'm sure it'll work next time.

Yes, because I'm clearly blaming Square Enix for the Australian dollar buying half the yen it used to. Damn them. It's all their fault.

Now THAT is sarcasm. I suggest you learn to recognise it, because not a single portion of my original comment contained any.

        Good effort, though.

Yeah, cause thanking a company after bitching them out clearly isn't sarcasm...

Comprehend your own thoughts before attempting to comprehend others...you may have some success.

Might I suggest taking your own advice? I wasn't being sarcastic. Sorry for you if you saw it that way, but you're wrong.

I wasn't bitching out Square Enix in any way. I called it a horrible movie, BECAUSE I ACTUALLY THINK IT IS (it has nothing to do with the fact that they made it), said I couldn't justify spending that much money on a demo BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMY, but then reassured the completely absent Square Enix that I would still BUY THE FULL GAME ITSELF.

Dude, saying "It's a shit movie and the deals not worth it. Thanks anyway."

That's either sarcasm or an incredibly weird way of showing gratitude.

In either case my point is intact...It really doesn't matter that you're not taking them up on the deal as you are not the intended audience.

In any case, I'm done arguing. you seem take my first post as an insult, and it was not intended to be that way. So I apologize for any confusion.

I bet that everyone who bought ACC would shit themselves if they ended up chucking it on PSN just before the game's release.

Would make for some mighty fine lulz, though.

For $54 this better be the greatest *bleep*in movie ever made. Most blu rays are $25-30 and they want the equivalent of $54 dollars for this? To me that says if they do release the demo on PSN its gonna cost $20+ and thats *bleep*n robbery.

      Krunal Jan 19, 09
No, they want $50 for a demo. Your essentially paying $4 extra for a few more scenes being added to the original Advent Children (which I don't understand as to why it wasn't complete from the beginning).

    SUPREM_KITE Jan 19, 09
Man for that price it better be a demo of about 9 10ths of the game.

      Cruxis Mana Jan 19, 09
You are aware this is the price of the the feature length film + the demo, right?
      • 0
        Shuyu Jan 19, 09
But 1000 yen is a bit much for just an added demo. I bought meals in Japan for less than that.

This article is very misleading from the description (without reading the quote). The demo itself is NOT 4,900Â¥ FFVII Advent Children Complete is what the price is related to. The demo is included with the movie. As we can see in the comments people are already confused because of it

      phowell23 Jan 19, 09
Were not confused. Were saying that the price is twice as much as any other blu ray, so half of the total price is for the demo.

        Shuyu Jan 19, 09
But what you have to remember is that these figures are converted from Japanese yen. In Japan, these prices are quite common. DVDs and Blu-rays and the like are generally considered products for "collectors" and a lot of people won't bother if they've already seen it.

        Or so I've heard.

I was about to say, it sounded like a complete rip off.

Still paying for a demo, just not 54 bucks.

Most of us already have the movie and would be paying that much just for the demo.......man, they can keep it.....give me White Knight Chronicles instead!!!!

    Bale Fire Jan 19, 09
Well I don't have it and plan to get it if it hits hear. I must be the only one to actually want it for the extra features instead of the demo.

      kik36 Jan 20, 09
Yeah if you don't already have the movie it may be worth picking up, but at that price I would shy away from it personally. The movie wasn't worth $20 IMO
