Capcom recently sent out a notice announcing that the Monster Hunter Freedom Unite free demo is now available on PlayStation Network. You can download it to your PSP and see just what the Japanese are so crazy for.

The demo contains three quests -- Hypnocatrice, Plum Hermintaur, and an Epic Hunting Quest -- a number of pre-made characters for all available weapon types, some new monsters, and 4-player co-op support.

Awesome, another MH Freedom that ain't worth two shits to me. They can shove the "Ad Hoc only" up their asses.

      • Why hate Ad Hoc, MH series mostly is played with friends you could play solo but mostly you can't solo insane monsters and it's pretty much fun playing with someone

I don't hate Ad Hoc...I hate the "Ad Hoc only". There is NO reason why they shouldn't implement an Infrastructure online like many other games. I don't know what the *bleep* people are so excited about, unless you have a handful of friends with PSP's which they use regularly with time to spare (not like people have jobs to go to or classes to study for), you better hope you enjoy that game all by yourself. And going solo in MH is like playing a half assed game.

          • Well i think it's common when there's a new game people get excited. Well considering as what you said i know many friends that played psp so having ad-hoc doesn't bother me, But i also understand that there are psp gamers that have a busy social life that they have no large amount of time to spare.

I've never tried Monster Hunter before, but anyone I've ever asked about it have always given it a good review.

I'm trying this demo for sure, it's a great chance to see what Monster Hunter is really like.

I'll have to try this out. I hear good things about the Monster Hunter series.
