Pre-order Madden 10 for demo (what?)

Pre-ordering the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version of Madden 10 at GameStop will net you, quizzically, a demo for the game.

The pre-order demo will be an "exclusive" 20-minute version reliving the Super Bowl with the Cardinals and Steelers -- everyone else will get an 8-minute demo between the Giants and Cowboys.

Nevertheless -- that's going to be a whole lot of canceled pre-orders for those that end up not liking the game, though perhaps this shows EA's confidence, and is more a move to reward good customers with an extensive preview play.

    That's like the pre-order bonus at BB for inFAMOUS. Didn't really understand that too much apart from the demo being a "I get to play it earlier" thing instead of a determining factor for buying it.

        So instead of giving us realistic tackles, fixing the horrible called catches when one or both feet are out of bounds and it being a complete catch, and fixing players not progressing throughout the season they give us some pathetic online co op. When things as little and basic as the running game (almost impossible to get more than 5 yards no matter who the runningback, o-line or defense is) and the defense (plays so terribly for you but shut down for the computer) are terrible, you have problems. The NFL needs to break off whatever deal they have with EA because they are butchering their game. WE NEED 2K BACK NOW.

          Thats hilarious that you belive an easports blog. They will continue to put out the same garbage until their deal with the nfl runs out and 2k will give them compition. Every year they promise to make it more realistic and every year its just as crappy as the previous. If you've been playing the games since 04 you would know that.
