Amazon "Sorry" For Pricing Mistake With Folklore & Lair

Well those that had at one point hoped that they had made Amazon pay for their mistake in pricing Folklore and Lair at only £14.95 (and that includes me) were unfortunate enough today to be greated with an email in our Inbox.

The gist of the email is simple, Amazon are sorry to inform us that the pricing was incorrectly displayed, and that our orders have effectively been cancelled. *sighs*

EDITOR EDIT: It also seems as though the release date for Folklore has been brought forward by Amazon... by a WHOLE month...:confused:

Despite our best efforts, with the millions of items available on our website, pricing errors can occasionally occur.

In our Pricing and Availability Policy,
we state that where an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will cancel the order and notify you of that cancellation.

Your order has now been cancelled. If you still wish to purchase this item, please place a new order online which will be charged at the correct price, when we dispatch it to you.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by this error, and rest assured that we will continue to make every effort to maintain the accuracy of all prices on our site.

    I mean, damn, that sucks guys

    Often with stuff like this I see places fixing their error, but letting the people who DID order the games at the incorrect prices keep their orders. But, I suppose a lot of people did it and too much money would be lost. Plus, they say it right there in their policy.

      Stop gloating. I was one of those that ordered it... I also cancelled my WarHawk order for it :'( Well I've ordered it at the proper price now... it's still cheaper on Amazon that it is on Play.com and they are the only two sites I buy games from. *sighs*

        I'm sorry, I was being a hater I'm glad it didn't happen over here now too, or I would be feeling the same sad emptiness a lot of Europeans must be feeling now.

    Where i come from...Canada...that is what we call illegal...if i go up to a cashier and they tell me that the price listed is wrong, they still have to sell it to me for that price...their mistake, my profit.

      Here in England when a game isn't out yet you can't buy it, so we actually hadn't paid a thing until dispatch meaning there was plenty of time to take back the mistake... The same rule applies in the UK though in some stores if they mark up the game for £14 when it is £50 and you were only interested because of that price, most stores will have to suck it up and sell it for £14.
