Thats right a real life heavenly sword was made, by no other then your truly. I made it in wood shop in school. Sadly enough our school doesn't have have metal shop so I had to make it out of wood.

Instead of making some stupid cabinet or a DVD shelf like the rest of the class, I decided to make something a little more original. I decided upon making the sword with a lot of people saying I won't be able to make it(proved them wrong ;)).

The sword is about 3 feet long and about 1 and a half feet high. To my surprise and others, the sword barely weighs anything. Light as a feather, Feather that can kill.

If you look closely, you will notice somethings missing. I didn't make those parts because of either time constraints or were to difficult. And the design and burned and etched in there and not drawn on with pen.

It took me about half the trimester to fully complete it and im proud of the results. Ironical, I was the first one to get cut by my sword. I let a kid hold it and he got a little power hungry, started swinging it around and cut my in the arm. For a wooden sword, it sure cuts well.

Haha, wow that's a pretty nice sword you made there. If it was for a class, was it graded? If so, what did you get?

I kinda wanted to after I started playing DMC4, but I didn't have enough time. Hopefully next year.

Ah I see, well let us know what grade you get when you find out. ^^

Making the Sparda sword from DMC1 would be amazing, that thing was just really cool. Sadly when I did my DT classes (Design Technology, not Devil Trigger ) we just made the usual boring stuff like CD holders and the like.

I dunno, I mean, what he made was a simplified design of the Heavenly Sword which does have a nice design originality, the Sparda Sword's highlight is mostly the flesh colored blade and bone handle...which is like...impossible to imitate on a simple piece of wood.

Though if we're talking about making your own computer designed Sparda Sword, that's another 20 bux.

    Pretty awesome dood

I've been wanting to make my own swords (mostly Katanas), but I don't have the proper tools....Nor the patience lol I have a LONG stick, which I stripped the bark all off, and sharpened the end....And I've heated some metal poles in an outdoor portable fireplace, and attempted to make half arsed machetes (or tantos)....One of them turned out alright, nice and curved, but being made out of crap metal by an utter amateur, itisn't all that god >_>

That's amazing- I wish I could make something like that! I have made an Assassin's Creed Hidden Blade, but it's made from a large cardboard tube and a ruler. Still, I am proud of it!

Did you get your grade yet?

Actually I was planning on it and that was going to be a step. I asked people (including reaver) and they convinced me not to as it would have ruined. IM glad I didn't.

Yeah I got my grade. I got 98% for the class and a 100% for the project.

1000 rates? Where the hell did these people come from? You tell all your friends from school to sign up LPF? hahaha

      Vito Raliffe Mar 7, 08
I think ratings are also based on amount of views too, along with actual rates.

Joystiq first posted it on their sister site PS3fanboy. Even though I submitted it to Kotaku they posted about it via PS3fanboy. Joystiq posting it from PS3fanboy is news to me, though.

Freaking sweet. It got on more gaming sites!

There is one thing I do regret about the sword. Is that I could have amde it longer, Byt two feet. When I was cutting it I thought the length was fine but half way threw the project I thought I should have made it longer. But it was too late

Origanaly I wanted to make Ebony and Ivory from DMC, but those I weren't allowed to make.

    Its also on Three Speech.
