These trophies sound much better than achievements on the 360. We'll just have to wait and see.
Also, about the noises that trophies make when you earn them, I think it would be so cool if those noises were different for each game or, better yet, for each individual trophy. The latter probably won't happen, but does anyone agree with the former idea?
I'd love to be playing MGS4 and then hearing Snake congratulate me for beating an Act or doing something impressive. It may sound lame to some people, but, personally, I'd love something like that.
So no custom soundtracks for my PS2 games.
I have a 60 Gig HDD and It's only got 16 Gig's left. I could probably get it up to 20 Gigs if I deleted some stuff I don't need, but still, I find this ridiculous.
I have 14 games for the PS3, and judging from the sizes of *bleep*ing installs most games need, I'm only going to be able to have about 20 or so games total before my HDD fills completely up.
And it isn't as if future games will need to be patched. It is only the past games. And most people don't have more than maybe 15 of those. I doubt all of them will bother to patch. And most people won't bother to go back to them even if they do.
You're frankly over reacting.
Of course, that's somthing else that can be deleted, but my taste in music changes so often that it would get a bit tedious, and I'm sure many other people are the same way.
There's a lot more work to do to make this update worth the wait.
Didn't you hear that the FW bricked a few PS3's well if that doesn't tell you how the update was rushed I don't know what is. I will agree that in game messaging was a need per say, but In game music? Sorry I don't see it as a need. In game voice chat is another nice addition but doesn't mean its a need. Trophies are the main issue i see. The fact that you NEED to reply all your games to 100% to get trophies, which Criterion knew exactly the correct way it should have been used done it so we don't need to replay the game. Thats my issue, not so much as the other stuff.
But, in-game messaging is great for me since I message a LOT. Now we'll have to wait to see about the music . . .
