"The PSP has not done as well as its competitor, the DS Lite/DSi. This doesn't mean that it doesn't have any games worth getting. In fact, the PSP has a great selection of hits released just within the past few months. With the recent release of the PSPgo and digital downloads sold alongside physical copies of games, fans of most genres will find a game they can play on the go. Here is a list of the top five PSP games I recommend for gifts."

"With only a little over a week left until the release of Gran Turismo PSP, the reviews are gradually starting to pour in. Sadly, one subtle yet highly sought after feature for any title is custom soundtrack supports. Sadly, the few reviews we have seen on the web have failed to mention this neat feature. Fortunately, the guys of the PS Nation podcast have read their manuals.

According to PS Nation’s written review of Gran Turismo PSP, the portable racing simulator brings custom soundtrack ..."

"It’s not unreasonably pessimistic to say that just because a caris in Gran Turismo PSP, it may not be in Gran Turismo 5. It’s been debated in our forums at length, and we won’t have a definitive answer until we can directly compare the car listfrom each game. However, things look a bit brighter when you consider this recent interview with Kazunori Yamauchi by French gaming site JVN. When asked about the “interactivity” between GT PSP and GT5, he responds:"

"As we all know, the PSP GO was unveiled prematurely, but not exactly unexpectedly, and was dubbed as the “Worst kept secret of E3 2009″ by the JT himself. Personally, I was strongly anticipating the consoles release later this year in October, but now there are a few things putting me back from buying one…

The E3 2009 presentation of the PSP and all of its wonderful new software titles such as Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, LittleBigPlanet PSP, Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines, and Gran Turis..."

""Che Chou of Turn 10 Studios, developers of the Forza Motorsport series for Xbox 360, made a pretty underhanded criticism that certainly won’t hold over well with fans of the Gran Turismo series. While it’s standard for developers to try out each other’s games and swap information at trade shows, Turn 10 seemed particularly sensitive about Polyphony Digital showing up to the Forza booth at E3 2009.""

""Hey, if Activision liked it, then they should have put a ring on it. Oh great, now Beyoncé is going to sue me too." - Tim Schafer, responding to the Activision lawsuit against EA for releasing "Brutal Legend," which they allegedly have the rights to ... despite dropping the title from their company months ago."

SCEA confirmed just now Gran Turismo and LittleBigPlanet are indeed coming to the PlayStation Portable.

The former title will arrive on October 1, and will be up to the high standards set by the previous releases. The title? Why, "Gran Turismo", of course.

Details on that one are in the quote and on the game's profile linked below -- meanwhile no info has been released has been put out for LBP beyond the confirmation.

Gran Turismo 5 still is a ways away from being released, but can it possibly match or exceed expectations sales-wise from the previous installments? Each full installment has sold at least 9 million and Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec sold just shy of 15 million. However, GT5 is not alone, because Forza 3 is also set for release as well later on in the year.

"I’m going to start by making an educated guess. I’m going to guess that when you typed "top 10 games playstation" into Google, you were sort of hoping for more than yet another list of games containing the following: Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 8 and 9, Crash Bandicoot, Resident Evil 2, Gran Turismo 2, Ridge Racer Type 4, Silent Hill, and, and?"

Here's something you may have heard before, but never believed.

Real racers actually use Gran Turismo to train. In fact, Formula One drivers like Jarno Trulli (Toyota) and Kazuki Nakajima (BMW) have publicly admitted to having used Gran Turismo to train and learn the track layouts, as well as where to brake. Now if THAT didn't impress you, listen to this. Kazunori Yamauchi, director of the series, has driven about two thousand or so laps around Tsukuba circuit in the Gran Turismo games. We...
