It’s now officially the end of the Martian road for the Red Faction Franchise. THQ has given up on the series after terrible sales figures for Red Faction: Armageddon.

They also remind Red Faction: Guerilla is currently available for pre-order at $40, which includes the first two games free.
That's right after many years and numerous rumours THQ have finally announced the third title in the popular series titled Red Faction: Guerilla. The game has definitely been reworked for its next generation debut, not only does the game take place 50 years after the events of the first game but has also made the switch from 1st to 3rd person, even featuring a cover system. The only bad bit of news is we won't see it until 2009
It seems as though so many things happen during conference calls these days. They are like exclusive clubs with their own cliques and whatnot. Anyhow, THQ's CEO mentioned Red Faction III on a conference call today, and there are plenty of details in the quote section.
THQ announced that there will be a third installment of Red Faction that is currently being developed. They have not stated what system it will be released on yet or a release date, but is has been suggested to be ready late next year.
