Bright Hub sorts through the Nintendo Wii library and gives you 25 stellar titles that you may have missed (or mistaken for shovelware). What games were listed between 25 and 21?

Although somewhat speculated to be true when rumors of A Boy And His Blob for the 3DS surfaced, it has now been reconfirmed during an interview with Matt Bozon. He states that they are "full speed ahead" with the development of the game and that "[the 3DS] is going to fly off the shelves".

However it has not yet been revealed if this is simply a port of the Wii/DS games that were released least year or if this an entirely new game all together.

"While the game has a story, it's not the main focus of the game, and is told visually, meaning that even the youngest of gamers can enjoy the title. However, with over 40 levels, hidden treasure, and unlockable bonuses (such as 40 more levels, concept art, and more), there's also plenty to challenge older and more seasoned gamers."

Amazon.com put several Nintendo Wii video games on sale at the lowest prices ever available. Games on sale include MadWorld, Onechanbara Bikini Zombie Slayers, A Boy and His Blob, Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree and several others.

Out of all the consoles, discounts on Nintendo Wii games are the most rare, especially on the games that are relatively new and are actually good. Recently, however Amazon.com discounted "A Boy and His Blob" for Nintendo Wii to $18.45, a game that falls into both "relatively new" and "actually good" category. This is the best price that was ever available for the game and a discount of almost 40% compared to retail.

"Even with all the fall 2009 releases that were delayed into 2010, it's still been a heck of a year for games. Blockbusters everywhere! You couldn't walk to the bus without tripping over one, it seems. And with all that obsessing over the big-name hits, a huge number of worthy also-rans have gone almost completely overlooked by gamers at large. Well, that just doesn't sit right with us. Sure, we like the triple-A titles as much as the next batch of game-obsessed nerds, but we love the little g..."

Although the Nintendo Wii may be lacking in high-profile exclusive game releases in the year of 2009, the system did have quite a few overlooked Wii-only titles.

"Be honest, when’s the last time you gave your stick a waggle? If you’re a hardcore gamer, it’s probably been a while, but the rest of us power up the Wii every other day and give that barely-functional stick a shake or two. Why? Because it’s damn fun, that’s why. Here are the games that have had us swinging it the most this year."

"As a modernisation of the formula, developer WayForward has kept the original gameplay design largely intact, whilst heaping upon it inventive puzzles with the new range of abilities available to your blob. The game plays as a puzzle-based Platform adventure, where the pace is more often slow and considered than a headlong rush through each of the levels. The player must feed his blob jellybeans in order to overcome obstacles and reach new areas. These could be a simple as feeding it a black ..."

With the NA release just around the corner (Oct. 13), Majesco releases a gameplay-only trailer for a boy and his blob. It starts at the beginning when our two unlikely heroes meet.

Much hugging and cuteness involved.

"The schedule heralds the return of some old friends with a brand new instalment in the The Legend of Zelda series for Nintendo DS and a totally new take on the Super Mario Bros. games which sees the dawn of simultaneous multi-player action in the Mushroom Kingdom."

Looking for quality Wii games? Majesco and WayForward Technologies will be bringing us a remake of a boy and his blob in the coming months. The original was a charming adventure, and with these updated aesthetics, this game may be worth checking out.

Here's the latest trailer, specifically for the UK. It touches on the story and a little gameplay; a boy and his blob should be out in Europe sometime after its North American release on October 13.

"Like in the original, the boy himself is not very strong. Consequently, he has to rely on the blob's ability to transform into various objects in order to get through the obstacles and puzzles that get in his way. He persuades the blob to transform by enticing it with different flavored jellybeans. Those familiar with the first game will quickly recognize some of the already established flavors and transformations such as the punch hole, licorice ladder, tangerine trampoline, coconut coconut,..."

"This year’s E3 was a feast for the eyes, showing off some very impressive games for all three major home consoles. While the Microsoft and Sony E3 press conferences were stuffed full of gaming goodness, the Nintendo press conference seems to be left in the dust. If you actually look at what Nintendo has coming out for the “hardcore” you will realize they are doing a better job of tailoring towards that crowd that they have in the past. Don’t believe me? then feast your eyes on this amazing li..."

Had enough of E3 yet? We don't think have. So here's some more closed demo info and impressions for you all. We drop back to the Wii with Majesco's lineup, including another workout game for the Balance Board and two rather promising adventure titles.

I'm talking about Flip's Twisted World, a rather under-hyped 3D platform title, and a boy and his blob, the artistic remake of an NES classic.

Despite having obvious appeal for younger audiences and families, both games actually look we...

"Majesco Entertainment Company has announced the slate of titles that they will be showing at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, CA from June 2nd-4th. Offering fun for the entire family, the line-up features a range of highly-anticipated Wii and Nintendo DS titles, including the return of A Boy and His Blob, the first look at the just announced Flip's Twisted World, the sequel to the best-selling Jillian Michaels' fitness game, and the company's My Hero brand of aspirationa..."

"Majesco Entertainment Company has announced that Birmingham-based Centresoft will exclusively distribute its catalogue to retail in the UK. Commencing with immediate effect, the deal strengthens Majesco’s 2009 sales activity, which sees a catalogue packed with mainstream products on both handheld and console."

For those wanting some more insight into the a boy and his blob "reimagining", Joystiq has a great interview up featuring both the publisher and developer of the game, a rare sight indeed.

They (Majesco exec Joe Sutton, WayForward director Sean Velascogo, and producer Robb Alvey, post-roller coaster ride) go into detail on how the idea came about, what direction they're going in and why, the game's relationship to the original, and more.

Following up on the surprise announcement of 'a boy and his blob' being revived for the Wii (see related articles below), some screenshots have surfaced, so have a look! The rest of the images can be found through the game's profile (click the 'Wii' link next to its name below).

The game is said to utilize "groundbreaking hand drawn and painted animation technology"; it is expected to release later this year in North America and Europe.

"Majesco Entertainment Company have today announced A Boy and His Blob for Wii. A Boy and His Blob first appeared on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and won numerous awards shortly after its debut in 1989. Developed by WayForward, acclaimed developers of Contra 4 and Shantae, the rebirth of this classic title expands upon the original Platform adventure.
