Determined to not give up in Japan, Microsoft has announced a new bundle for their console: the "Xbox 360 Elite Value Pack", which will release on October 29th and will retail for 29,800 yen.

The bundle will contain the Xbox 360 Elite console (with wireless controller, headset, and 120GB hard drive), alongside Namco's flight title Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, and Capcom's Lost Planet Colonies.

"Namco’s premiere flight series has just broken a major gaming milestone with the announcement that Ace Combat 5 has passed the million sales mark, and the series as whole passed 10 million. That’s a mighty impressive feat for Namco, considering the amount of consolidation going on in the industry these days. The series, which first debuted on the original PlayStation console, has seen a number of sequels since its release which have received a wide range of review scores. Regardless of the sc..."

It has always been theorised that Ace Combat 6 which was previously a Playstation Exclusive series that went to Microsoft and specifically to the XBOX360, would one day return on the PS3, however with the game being out for quite some time, and no news of it since, most had lost hope.

However it seems as though PSM3 have got some sort of inside information, and have in their latest issue, stated AC6 to be one of the games to be released in 2008 for the PS3. However with no official word f...

Honestly, there's no other way to put it. This tracking week is still well into the holiday season in Japan, and if it were somehow possible, DS Lite and Wii numbers increased. 41 out of the Top 50 are on a Nintendo system, with no 360 showing, and Sony representing the other nine. The PSP continues the have same problem that it had last week. But still, the Nintendo numbers, frankly, are completely and utterly absurd.

At the top of the rankings is our newest DS million-seller, Mario P...

GamingShogun responds to the Top Ten Video Games of 2007, recently compiled by TIME. They end up disagreeing with several parts of the list and offer up alternatives.

The Top 10 According to TIME:

* Halo 3
* The Orange Box (although that is technically MANY games)
* Rock Band
* Super Mario Galaxy
* BioShock
* Call of Duty 4
* Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
* Mass Effect
* Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
* God of War 2

What's surprising in these charts isn't what is #1, but rather, the amount at which the top game sold. Many expected higher, but this is still a decent number for only three-four days of sales.

Topping the chart this week is none other than Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii, pushing around 251k units. In the #2 spot is a shocker, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation for the Xbox 360, selling around 77k units. Rounding out the top five are last week's #1, Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Gri...

As we continue on towards the holiday season, we see more and more games coming out trying to get a piece of the incredibly huge holiday pie. Strong lineups all around, folks.

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (PSP)
The Eye of Judgment (PS3)
Front Mission (DS)
King of Fighters XI (PS2)
Mega Man ZX Advent (DS)

...

The list is incredibly amazing as it is, it really has me excited for the future of the Playstation 3. In the latest PodCast by 1 Up, mentioned were names of games that will be coming out for the PS3 and that will most likely be talked about in this years TGS. The list of games includes:

[ PS3 ] Eternal Sonata (Trustybell)

[ PS3 ] Persona 4
[ PS3 ] White Knight Story
[ PS3 ] Star Ocean 4
[ PS3 ] Yakuza 3
