Aliens: Colonial Marines

Aliens: Colonial Marines

"2011 was a big year for games, just look at our retrospective if you need any more proof of that. By comparison, 2012 is not looking all that bad either, in fact despite the impending 2012 doomsday in December, the line-up of games coming out in the next 12 months has us much more excited than at this same time last year. With several big name franchises such as Mass Effect, Borderlands, Bioshock, Metal Gear Solid, Halo, Hitman, Final Fantasy and many others bringing out new instalments durin..."

NoobFeed.com qualms the mass hysteria with Arthur Clark's diary on The War of the Worlds. Aliens are real however, for there's also details and footage of Sega's Aliens: Colonial Marines and Infestation. Even their Sonic and Shinobi classics might show up, but pay no mind to those guys.

I think we have all been waiting for this game as well as a decent Aliens shooter game fora long time. After seeing this trailer, I have to say that I think the wait is over.

Gearbox Software released three new screenshots for their upcoming FPS Aliens: Colonial Marines at E3 earlier today. The game actually looks pretty good!

"Gearbox showcased gameplay footage of Aliens: Colonial Marines, which they referred to as the “true sequel to Aliens”. The first impression I got from it was that these guys were dedicated to creating a story and game that stayed true to the science fiction classic."

It appears that the Aliens: Colonial Marines game, that was stated to be released in Q1 2009 has now been pushed back to 2010. Also, news of a new Alien vs. Predator game has been released, stating that this new game will be released in 2010 also, but before both Aliens games. This is bad news for us fans who were looking forward to seeing colonial marines hitting shelves this year.

For the season finale of the Jace Hall show, where they interview athletes, developers, and others about games, comes the first sneak peek of the tactical shooter titled Aliens: Colonial Marines! The video doesn't show much, just destruction of everything in sight. Check the source for the vid.

The game is being developer by Gearbox Software and is being published by Sega for the PC, 360, and PS3. Expect the aliens to hit shelves sometime next year!

""These images have been floating around for the last week or so, and were originally featured in the Game Informer exclusive story. They are pretty incredible and you will notice that there IS NO HUD in the game. Thats right, it increases the creep-factor by allowing you to look through the marine's eyes as he would see it. This...is going to be incredible...""
