The Japanese branch of Ubisoft has revealed the box art and some details regarding the new Assassin’s Creed “Welcome Pack” bundle for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
While Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series may not have an entire cast of made up characters (Leonardo Da Vinci, Adam and Eve...), it is original in it's own right. It's unfortunate, though, that an author of a 2003 novel disagrees and is now suing Ubisoft because of it.

Ubisoft has set into motion their new movie studio, and the first three franchises to get the big screen treatment are Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon.
Big videogame publisher Ubisoft appears to be testing the waters on film adaptations on a couple of their biggest game franchises. A seemingly innocent looking survey, sent out to fans and gamers may point to the directions they plan on taking, and could be the best possible way ever, to approach an adaptation.

Ubisoft head of marketing Geoffrey Sardin has revealed that there are plans for another Assassin's Creed game for 2011, more details have yet to be forthcoming. He said ""If you compare [the 1m in a week] with last year's Assassin’s Creed II sales, this is a big jump - so it's a great achievement," he explained.
