I'm sorry, but I do not see what the fuss is about, it seems some gamers are never satisfied with what they are given.

SO what if it's not 12 hrs long, or that playing the Alien is hard, and the Predator has his own style of play etc. Isn't that what playing games is about, adaptation and entertainment. Come check out the review, rather critical, but hey, I'm not the reviewer.

"The Aliens and Predator universes coincide with one another, therefore every so often we see the two species battle it out with the human race stuck in between. The two movie series are some of the most well known science fiction movies in modern existence, so it is no surprise that SEGA and Rebellion would want to capitalize on this on-going phenomenon with a new game in the series. Aliens vs. Predator is a first person shooter slash melee combat game that pulls off the mixture quite well. Y..."

Developer Rebellion's long-awaited sequel to their Alien vs Predator franchise has arrived, but does the game do anything new to push the FPS genre further? Find out in this detailed review on the action-packed title.

"Aliens vs Predator finally makes its inevitable jump to the current-gen consoles and we couldn’t be more happy. Developer Rebellion have their work cut out for them to please fans of the franchise and previous games, but can this legendary battle between these three species live up to the AvP legacy?"

The Aliens and Predator movies are very popular and a video game featuring the two on the current generation hardware had fans highly anticipating the possibilities of what the game would be like. Today we look at the Playstation 3 version. Does the combination of two movie creatures make for a good game? Find out after the jump.

"The two extraterrestrials from the Aliens and Predator franchise are fairly familiar with each other having been in several games and movies together, most notable however is the FPS Aliens vs. Predator from about ten years ago. Now the two aliens alongside the space marines are locked in another war that looks to please fans and new comers."

"My prayers for an online game that breaks the mold most games seem to be cast in these days have finally been answered as of Feb. 16th, 2010. Rebellion Studios have released “Alien vs Predator” for the PS3, Xbox360, and PC. Now some of you may recall the 1999 release of the AVP for PC and most of should recall the movies that inspired this game. Though not a huge fan of the series, I was eager to hunt my copy down, which is a long, bitter tale that ends in unexpected triumph. Let’s save that ..."

"Of the three campaigns, the Colonial Marine has obviously received the most work. Not only the lengthiest, but also the basis for delivering a story upon which both the Xenomorph and Predator campaigns rely upon, the Colonial Marine’s game is actually better between events than at major turning points. The dark corridors with only the tick of your motion tracker for company easily create an atmosphere of impending doom, and the moment that tick turns to a beep your heart starts racing. As if ..."

"On Feb. 16th, 2010 the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC were all graced with Rebellion’s fresh take on the beloved Aliens vs. Predator franchise. This sexy first-person action/shooter game places you in one of the various roles of Xenomorph, Predator, or the colonial marines. With surprisingly smooth online play, three different single player campaigns, and the ability to munch brains with my little baby teeth"

"Besides influencing horror and action films, the Alien and Predator franchises turn a profit for game companies. Virulent Xenomorphs scavenging an industrial spacecraft for survivors is the perfect focus for a Run N' Gun, and bare-chested soldiers grappling Predators were sustained in arcade Beat 'em ups. The most successful spin-off is the Rebellion developed Aliens versus Predator for the PC in 1999. It renewed the scares and action of the films with three campaigns and multiplayer. 10 year..."

"For older gamers, the idea of an Alien Vs Predator coming back to consoles is a dream come true. Fans of the franchise have been treated to a couple of interesting movies. But the highlight of the AvP franchise was its debut back on the Atari Jaguar."

With Rebellion's latest game "Aliens Versus Predator" just a couple days from release, gamers are curious to see how the game gets along with critics. So far with a 5.75 from GameInformer and an 8.5 from IGN UK, it's a mixed bag.

Gamespot puts in their two cents, adding to the inconsistency from critics. Donning the game a mediocre 5.5/10, Gamespot states the game is fun and brutal, but the level design is poor, controls are inconsistent, and there are many small but incredibly deadly flaw...
