"I've never really been good at fighting games but I love them all the same. Something about conquering a list of moves and unlocking characters while playing through a fragmented storyline has always appealed to me. Alas, I tend to appreciate the Mortal Kombat fighting games because of simpler combos and a sense of forgiveness and more control. Fighters in the vein of Street Fighter just tend to frustrate me with the convoluted combo system and precision required to pull off any move. Battle ..."
"Battle Fantasia needs more of a following in the USA. If you can find it at a local store, it might set you back between 20-30 dollars. A small price to pay for one of the best underground fighting games around. Though the difficulty may be intimidating, and there isn't any concrete fanbase on Xbox Live- the game is still great fun. Single player offers many hours of replayability, and hopefully you can find a friend to play multiplayer with. If you like fighting games, go found Battle Fantas..."
"And finally, for all you Gears of War and Cliff Blesinzki fans out there, CliffyB has suggested that the next Gears of War title may incorporate some RPG elements. During an interview with Develop, Blesinzki talked about games such as BioShock and Deus Ex and went on to say, “the future of shooters is RPGs”."
"Thousands of gamers, anime fans and cosplayers of widely varying quality descended on ExCel, an exhibition centre in London, for one of the biggest events in the collective industrys’ calendar today, the 15th MCM Expo. Running for two days, 23rd May and 24th May 2009, those few Electronic Theatre readers who managed to miss today’s show may just have enough time to organise the necessary travelling arrangements, and grab that Bomberman outfit they’ve been saving for a special occasion."
The games should start arriving this week at retailers Wednesday, September 17, and they should have a good truckload this time. Tons of stuff out to coincide with the fall season, and a nice bit of it is very promising. From Dragon Quest IV to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to Crysis Warhead to WAR to Rock Band 2, gamers won't have trouble finding their blockbuster title of choice, though the trouble may be in finding how many one can afford.
