"EA and Dice are generating some good karma after some misunderstandings in the lead up to the release of Battle field 3. Some users got the impression that Battlefield 1943 would be coming free with BF3 but instead EA decided to offer the DLC one week early"
"Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week is expanding to six games for this week, the most Microsoft has discounted in one week as part of the program. This week's selection is mostly LIVE Arcade first-person shooters but also includes an addictive "Ode to Joy" puzzler and a strategy game starring worms."
"Some great Xbox Live Arcade games were released in 2009 from Shadow Complex to Battlefield 1943. 2009 was a year that got Xbox 360 owners to plunk down their MS Points. Microsoft wanted to know which games Xbox 360 owners liked best so put up a poll on Xbox Live for people to vote on their favorite games. The results came in today and the motorcycle stunt game, Trials HD, came away with the Best Overall Arcade Game of 2009."
"Below is a list of the top downloaded items from the PlayStation Store for the week ending October 22nd. This week Call of Duty: World at War and Fallout 3 both dominate the chart. Another classic series is being revived, too -- Tales of Monkey Island gets its first chapter this week in the form of "Launch of the Screaming Narwhal."

Just an note on Battlefield 1943 release date, there has been some confusion and misprinted dates thrown around, according to a response on the EA UK Forums by Gordon Van Dyke this is not true and most likely going to be an early July release.
EA and DICE have announced that a fourth map can be unlocked in Battlefield 1943. The airplanes-only map will feature the new Air Superiority Mode which will pit players against each other in dog fights.
