The second wave of PS3 Greatest Hits and Platinum titles have just been released today. These games which are unique in having sold large amounts of copies in a limited time frame are sold for a low price of just $30, combining quality and a good price. According to Variety, EA is planning on producing sequels to recent hits Army of Two and Battlefield: Bad Company. This news comes from EA boss, Frank Gibeau, who loosely confirmed EAs plans for some new franchise iterations in an interview with Variety.

Japan's game and hardware sales from last week have been revealed, with Rhythm Tengoku Gold, a Ninteno DS game, coming first. One of the newest additions to the Japanese market, Afrika, came in second with 38,000 units sold. Rounding out the top five is J-League Winning Eleven 2008 Club Championship for the PS2, PSP Fate/Tiger Colosseum Upper for the PSP, and Wii Fit.

Mario Kart Wii has snatched the lead from the Wii Fit game, the Wii Play bundle is still selling steadily in third, followed by the oh-so-popular Super Smash Bros. Brawl and SingStar Amped.

Activision has recently settled upon a contract with PureBalance, the creators of the anti-cheat software called PunkBuster. The software will be tied into CoD: World at War and will make sure no hacking or glitching occurs when the game is released and onward.
PunkBuster has also planted its roots in the Battlefield series, Crysis, and F.E.A.R.

Electronic Art's have announced at the EA Studio Showcase that was held in London, that there is a Conquest Mode that is going to be offered for consumers through a Download for both the Playstation 3 gamers and Xbox 360 gamers.. and will cost nothing.
This may be a good guest-er by Electronic Art's but it could also be because of the poor feedback that they received from the "Weapon Charging Debacle".

DICE has given up the details on the multiplayer beta for the Xbox 360 version of its upcoming Battlefield Bad Company. Players take the role of Preston Marlow, a new recruit to "B-Company". During the game you will fight through a Southern-European conflict center to obtain certain personal profit under the wing of United States Army. The film, Three Kings was an inspiration to the developers on this title.
