"So the big release season is just beginning, and those of you with deep wallets are rushing around pre-ordering every top game before each emerges onto store shelves.
"But what about those who can only afford maybe one or two new releases, or maybe none at all yet? There’s a global economic slowdown on after all.
"Well at OXCGN we’ve decided to put ourselves in the game Animus and go back in time to discover what titles we enjoyed this gen that you should be able to get for cheap (and..."
I think gamers as a whole can end the discussion on whether or not downloadable content that is on the disc is an okay practice. Keep discussions on whether or not DLC is a good thing at all, or whether it should always be free, but as far as being on the disc and charged for later, it's not okay.
A story type that has been covered here on Grep many many many times in the past, now has some defense. The SurplussGamer over at NegativeGamer attempts to give points, not so much 'in favor' of on disc dlc, but a way that it could be handled without people like myself flipping our lids.
"If you’ve ever wanted to see a cold-hearted, embittered Sony fanboy* erupt into an explosive nerdgasm with more confetti than a clown’s birthday party, here’s a tip: show him Katamari Forever.
Honestly, I’ve been looking forward to this game
since I first saw the trailer back in April. Now that I finally had a chance to play it, I can assure you it does not disappoint.
As expected, the intro sequence offers the same acid-laced—er—enthusiasm found in past titles. The gameplay is magnifi..."

After making the unboxing the FPS Freek video, I went ahead and started my review for this product not knowing what to expect from something that basically extends my analog sticks. Hit up the source for the full review.
"What? Valentines Day? Again?! Wasnt there one, like, just last year? Well, yeah, there actually was, but that doesnt mean you have to get all huffy about it. And it also doesnt mean that you have to put down your joystick (Ah hur, hur, hur, innuendo), just because your girlfriend/mistress/concubine wants to spend some quality time with you on February 14th. Recent studies, mostly ones I just made up, say that girls actually LIKE to play video games. Even better, many of them would actually..."
As the season of romance gets closer and closer, people are finding different ways to express their love or recognition for their own special someone. beavotron from the Penny Arcade forums decided to produce his own gamer themed Valentines - and no, unlike VGCats' Scott Ramsoomair, the variety of games is not limited to Nintendo! Check out his unique way of sharing the love: mediguns, fire, and... vomit.
Some tell tale and recognizable classic video game scenes recreated with the ever lovable LEGOs. Ranging from the Classics like Duck Hunt, Contra , and the original Metal Gear, to recent favorite Shadow of the Colossus.
Katamari for the Nintendo Wii has been cancelled, but possibly unofficially. It has been delayed many times, but Wal-Mart has sent an e-mail to a member from TripleTags saying that the game is cancelled. If you're willing to not believe that, feel free to pre-order from Target.
It's a slow sales week in Japan this week, with the top selling game only selling 33k units, and the tenth rank game selling 15k. The top seller this week is a new release, Seaman 2 for the PS2, selling the aforementioned 33k units. Following it is a DS non-game, the quite nifty DS Literature Collection with 32k units sold. Rounding out the top five is the PS2 version of Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Meteor (PS2 - 20k), last week's #1 DS Nishimura Kyotarou Suspense Detective Series: Deadly Int...
Speculation is currently looming over what Microsoft will be offering at the Tokyo Games Show tomorrow for there Xbox 360. Rumours build up from a great line up of products with the likes off Konami's Winning Eleven, Microsoft Game Studio's Halo 3, Koei's Blade Storm and Square Enix's The Last Remnant including many more. But I guess we will find out tomorrow for sure.
"Its to be hoped that Namco Bandais Beautiful Katamari isnt swamped in the usual Holiday deluge of must-have software, but our fears for the series next-gen debut are very real. Still, those of us who manage to overlook the charms of Halo 3 and company to spend some time with the Prince could be in for a real treat, if the latest screens and information on the game are anything to go by.
Apparently, the Xbox 360 exclusive will sport a four-player online mode that lets players face off i..."
"Like rolling stuff up into ridiculously enormous balls? Have 432.37 MB of storage on your hard drive? Then the Beautiful Katamari Demo might just be for you! Released this morning, 360 owners can finally get a taste of what the hype is about with this incredibly unusual puzzle-action title. Even though I wanted to, I never played any of the previous Katamari games (something I still plan to do some day), and am hoping this game lives up to the quality of previous iterations not only for mysel..."

"Rumors had been going around that Beautiful Katamari Damacy for the PS3 was canned. However there was no official confirmation regarding this rumor.
Famitsu magazine have confirmed today that, the game has been cancelled for the PS3. However, the Xbox360 version which is currently still been developed and the a wii version of the game is in the works as well."
Sources close to developer Namco Bandai say that due to problems porting the upcoming Beautiful Katamari to Sony PlayStation 3 and the lack luster sales of the system so far, the PS3 project has been quietly canceled and the development team refocused to bringing the game to Nintendo Wii.
Edit: Rumor confirmed in the latest issue of Famitsu
