We've been seeing the symptoms for a while and now it's finally happened. Midway's actually filed for bankruptcy as they have about $150 million in debt. According to Matt Booty, Midway CEO, filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy will protect them long enough for them to find other alternatives to get their act straight again. To be honest, I'm not really happy about this, not that I bought many of their games but...damn...there goes Mortal Kombat.

This is disappointing. Having watch the series develop over the years, I actually found myself liking the first next generation incarnation of the Blitz franchise w/ The League. Hearing about The League 2 got me psyched, but now some of my enthusiasm is gone after this brutal review. Don't get me wrong, I still may give this game a shot (read: rental) despite this review coming from one of my new channel editors.

A new Blitz: The League II trailer has just been released today, giving us a little insight on some of the recording sessions the team does.

As the video tells us, Franklin Caliendo, who has his own show called Frank TV on TBS and was known for his laughs on the show titled MADtv, is the color commentator in the game, while Jay Mohr, who used to act on Ghost Whisper and is now creating his own show titled Gary Unmarried, is the agent.
