"Biting the pointy ear clean from a taunting elf's temporal bone, stopping to drink the refreshing blood, and then stampeding down the field with a spiked ball tucked safely under the armpit of an Orc: that's Blood Bowl. However, Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition is a bit more sophisticated; the new release encompasses the sprawling expanse that is Warhammer's race system. In total, there are now twenty playable races - eleven of which are fresh to the pitch, to include: Norse, Undead, Ogres, and ..."
"A thrifty gamer is a happy gamer so we've scoured the Sunday ads to find the best video game deals for this week from local stores for the Playstation 3, PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, and PC for the week of May 9, 2010."
Splinter Cell: Conviction, Final Fight: Double Impact, and the Playstation 3 and PC release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City make up for what is another light week of game releases.
"Blood Bowl can be fun at times, with engaging on-field action and some cool, deep strategy elements. However, the game is not very friendly to newcomers, with a frustrating interface, lackluster tutorials, and a muddy aesthetic. File this one under missed opportunity."
"The first qualification phases – open to all Blood Bowl coaches – have already launched for the Winter Championship, the first main tournament of the season. At the end of it the Winter Champion will be determined, during the Winter tournament final match at Games Day in France, and will be the first finalist aspiring to the title of World Champion."

"From the introductory cut-scene to the one thousandth time you land facedown in the mud, typically with an Orc or Minotaur trampling you on your way down, Blood Bowl is evidently designed for a very specific market. Side-stepping the expectations of the mainstream gamer and instead concentrating on delivering a tactical, brutal rendition of American Football intrinsically linked to Games Workshop’s table-top classic, Blood Bowl marks the beginning of a new phase for the current-generation, an..."
"The Tutorial introduces the player to the basics of the gameplay through six brief events, not nearly enough to tackle even the easy difficulty. It’s with some patience and a lot of trail-and-error that the player will find their feet. Each team plays differently, and each player type within each team will have different strengths and weaknesses. The Skaven rat-men are quick and nimble, allowing them to dodge them opposing team’s attempts to trip them with a more likely positive outcome, whil..."
"The game is a combination of a Wargame and a sports game. The basics are extremely simple: two teams, one ball. The team that carries the ball into the opponent's end zone scores a touchdown, the team with the most touchdowns at the end of the game is the winner. However, it’s how you decide to do this that makes things interesting, the ends justify the means."
