"Sequels are what gamers of all walks look forward to after finishing an original. But, while getting the same thing can be good, pending there’s been even a chunky slurry of improvements to the meaty whole of the gameplay sometimes we end up getting nothing more than a rotting carcass of disappointment. It may not necessarily be the sequels fault, occasionally the shoes are just too big for the next game to live up to the expectations of the fans – while it rarely is just a case that the game..."

"Many of you will have previously experienced the Brothers in Arms series on the Previous-Generation on consoles. With two outings on both the Xbox and PlayStation2 now reproduced and packaged as a double-pack for Wii both of which have been commercial successes, Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway has quite a difficult role to fill. The continuation of the story of the 101st Airborne, the first Current-Generation Brothers in Arms release and, given the rumours surrounding Gearbox Software an..."
"If the screen is going to be awash with plenty of blood, guts and gore, its going to need context. Otherwise, the flailing ragdoll bodies of Nazis will err on the side of the exploitive; more blood soaked Tarantino than gritty World War II drama. A fine distinction to make, considering Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway is explicitly trying to be the latter."
"Regardless, developer Gearbox Software is sending gamers back to Staff Sergeant Matt Bakers World War II in Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway, published by Ubisoft. Set against the backdrop of Market Garden, the game follows Baker and his comrades in the 101st Airborne Division as they push forward against German forces in a variety of familiar settings. Equal parts Medal of Honor and Company of Heroes with liberal sprinklings of HBOs Band of Brothers thrown in to strengthen the narrative,..."

"...did you cut some of the gore features you planned on implementing in the game originally?
Actually the gore system landed a fair bit ahead of where we had originally planned. Since our game is not about gore we generally wanted to keep it in the background and thus we didn't plan on spending big into the tech. However there were a number of features the team promoted internally such as headshot specific gore and dripping blood on walls that weren't in the original plan."
