"Gamers are finding it exceedingly difficult to invest in multiple games throughout the year due to financial constraints. As a result of that, gamers are directing their spending power to a limited number of games, or rather franchises."
Activision has confirmed that there will be a new Call of Duty game coming out before the end of this year in their latest quarterly financial briefing.
"Activision has told CVG that there will be no multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The last Inifinity Ward developed Call of Duty, Modern Warfare, had a popular public beta released in advance of the game's sale date.
For those looking forward to the new multiplayer features in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it looks like you'll have to wait until the game hits store shelves on November 10."

In recent reports you may have read that Infinity Ward were possibly going to become the sole Call of Duty developers. Well Activision today have come out and rubbished these reports and said Treyarch are still going to be producing future Call of Duty games alternately whilst Infinity Ward make theres.
