In the world of video games everyone has guns. Your neighbor, your mailmain, the toddler on that tricycle; they're all packing. Luckily, you're usually just as well armed and if the Call of Duty games are any indicator most people are eager to gun down wave after wave of faceless foes. To celebrate this unbridled violence, we present you New England Gamer's five favorite shooters.
"One thing Call of Juarez: BiB proves is that the Old West is absolutely ripe with possibilities for video games. Story opportunities abound, from darker tales like Bound in Blood, to more traditional tales of the western hero, a man who roams the Wild West righting wrongs and taming the wilderness (in other words, an adventurer!). Western films prominently feature gunfights, fistfights, kidnappings, train robberies, and other action game staples. Most importantly of all though, westerns are a..."
"• Spy: damage increased; health increased;
• Gunslinger: recoil reduced; accuracy improved;
• Hombre: recoil and reload time increased; damage at long range significantly reduced;

We've all heard about the racism controversy that revolved around Resident Evil 5 before it's release. As a result, blogger Willie Jefferson has brought up the question: Is Racism Becoming a Norm in Gaming?
Jefferson ripped into games such as Resident Evil 5, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and, oddly enough, the upcoming Left 4 Dead 2, claiming that these games all have one thing in common: They're racist in some way or another.
Right now, Amazon is selling the PS3 version of Call of Jaurez: Bound in Blood for $39.99. This is $20 cheaper than the usual retail price for the game. It doesn't say how long the deal will be for, so head over to Amazon to pick up your copy.

All Age Gaming's John Elliott takes a look at the sequel to the original critically acclaimed Wild West action shooter Call of Juarez. In Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood you play as the McCall brothers. Is it a successful wild west ride? Read the full review to find out.
"New weapons can be purchased from shops - all are very inaccurate and slow, which reflects the time period the game is set in. There is a welcome auto aim for the pistols, and gunplay in general is very satisfying. It would have been nice to have some melee moves, as seen in the Halo or CoD series, but the omission of these isn’t the end of the world."
""The Civil War has always been one of the least-explored eras throughout history, with most of our focus being on World War II and the droves of faceless Nazis we’ve driven into oblivion. Failing that, prequels are often left to rot in the gaming world, and end up as bargain bin fodder soon after their release (Contract J.A.C.K., anyone?), but this Civil War shooter stands steady on its own two feet. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood provides some tight and entertaining Civil War shootouts, thou..."
