The Official Nintendo Magazine's UK edition has put Captain Rainbow on its release list, effectively confirming it for European gamers. No release date as such is set as of now.

Many of us figured the game would be too crazy for them to bring to the Western world, period, so rejoice!

For years it has been debated as to whether Mario's gender-confused friend Birdo is male or female. Mario Bros 2 first revealed he was a male, but various other Mario games have offered conflicting views on what gender the pink bird-thing is.

In Nintendo's quarterly meeting with Japanese retailers, details have emerged on release dates and prices for a few new games that are set to hit Japanese store shelves within the next 2-3 months. There could be more information on the way, but so far, there is the following:

• Wii Remote Straps in September
  • Four colors: White, Pink, Blue, Green
  • Retail for 300 yen each, Set of all four for 1000 yen

With E3 right around the corner, Nintendo has announced a completely new game headed to the Wii. The name of this game? Why, Captain Rainbow, of course! How they came up with this name might still be a mystery, but the game features hero/tv star Captain Rainbow whose show's popularity is beginning to decline. He is supported with a cast of third-tier characters from the Nintendo universe. Information about this game is sparse, though more information could be revealed at E3.
