David Cox, the producer of the upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, says that he wants to do a new 3D Contra game.
Konami’s David Cox recently revealed that Playstation Move support was considered, but ultimately declined for the upcoming Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 game, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
"Castlevania: Lord of Shadow producer Dave Cox has revealed that Hideo Kojima "brought experience and wisdom to the project."
Kojima offered developer Mercury Steam advice on the creation of the Xbox 360 and PS3 game, which is due for release later this year.

New Castlevania: Lords of Shadow information about the environment, soundtrack and a returning enemy
Konami has revealed some new Castlevania: Lords of Shadow details such as the game’s environmental variety, soundtrack arrangement and a returning enemy.
Producer David Cox confirms that the upcoming action game for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, won't have any computer-generated cut scenes.
"Konami’s David Cox has revealed several new gameplay details on the official Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Twitter.
The producer said the upcoming Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 game will have plenty of platforming where players will be using the combat cross to swing, grip and grapple around the environment.
Another interesting tidbit is that Konami is planning to make the game 15 hours long for the average player, which is quite long for an action-adventure title."
"Firstly, he mentions that the "PS3 is the lead platform but the game is identical on both formats." This is good news for PS3 owners as it means that we are likely to get an equal or slightly better version of the game. So far, every game that has had the PS3 as a lead platform has looked almost identical on both consoles, the same cannot be said when the 360 has been the lead platform.
He also replied to the following question, "Could we rotate the camera to see the landscape for example,..."
"As games get more cinematic, the trailers are only going to get more elaborate. This year brought us great efforts from the likes of Bungie, Rockstar and Valve, with trailers featuring everything from live action sequences to the voice talents of Patrick Stewart. Here are some of our favorites."
The Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Twitter account have showed off a screenshot of the game to drum up some hype. The screen shows off the character model of a vampire that will appear in the game.
Castlevania's venture into the 3D world hasn't been a hugely successful one, but Konami is hoping to turn that around with Lords of Shadow. In a recent interview with OXM, producer David Cox discussed the apprehension the team felt when first considering a new 3D Castlevania, how the game will be different from previous installments, and what the team are doing to make this 3D Castlevania a memorable one for both new and old fans alike.

Die-hard Castlevania fans might have been a bit surprised when Hideo Kojima announced Castlevania: Lords of Shadow at E3. Konami at their Leipzig Conference revealed a new IP called "Lords of Shadow". This title set to come out in 2010 for both the PS3 and 360 looks to be a very promising from what the teaser has shown (which claims to be actual gameplay footage) and should certainly be a title to watch.
