"Though Command & Conquer Red Alert 3's Uprising expansion landed on PCs months ago, it seems a port of at least some of the expansion's content is heading to consoles this fall. The "Commander's Challenge" DLC is set to run you $10 and offers "50 intense challenges against a set of nine different commanders, including 16-time world champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair." Sound familiar? That's because the ESRB let slip the first news of the DLC a little over a month ago.

Quite a release week, for PC gamers especially. First we get (finally) Dark Sector, initially planned for simultaneous release, then The Last Remnant, Battleforge..life's pretty good. Although we can't recommend you pick up Dark Sector as it contains that horrid Starforce DRM.
There isn't really much exclusive stuff (not a bad thing, really), with PS3, Xbox 360 and PC owners alike receiving Stormrise, Wanted, and Wheelman, with the latter two seeing Legends of Wrestlemania.

"The better-late-than-never PS3 version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 has been pinned for a March release.
As revealed when EA accidentally leaked details on its store site, the so-titled Ultimate Edition for PS3 will include platform-exclusive bonus content. EA has handily provided a list of exactly what you can expect:
* Five exciting new multiplayer maps
* Behind the scenes videos and trailers, including Raising the Iron Curtain
* Documentary, From Pens to Pixels, th..."
EA has brought out news of a standalone expansion to Red Alert 3 called Uprising. It will continue the story from Red Alert 3 as well as introduce a new gameplay mode. In case you are unfamiliar with the game, RA3 posits that the Soviet Premiere had a time machine with which to travel back to change our present. The result is a modern-day nightmare with the Soviets, US, and Empire of the Sun all vying for dominance. The expansion will release in March.
Well now this is good news. EA recently announced that they will be releasing their games on Steam. Well, now it has been revealed that the DRM protection of SecuROM that EA uses on some of their popular titles will be dropped for users that purchase the games on Steam.

So, what do you do if your Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 install code is 19 characters instead of 20?
Well according to the brilliant minds over at EA- they suggest you brute force your own game.
Yes, that's right. They want you to try to 'guess' the activation code by using every character ranging from A-Z and 0 -9.
Bravo EA, Bravo.
"Your forum account will be directly tied to your Master EA Account, so if we ban you on the forums, you would be banned from the game as well since the login process is the same. And you'd actually be banned from your other EA games as well since its all tied to your account. So if you have SPORE and Red Alert 3 and you get yourself banned on our forums or in-game, well, your SPORE account would be banned to. It's all one in the same, so I strongly reccommend people play nice and act mature.

"Back in June, EA announced that the PS3 version of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 was being put on hold to move available resources to the development of the Xbox 360 and PC versions. According to EA Los Angeles producer Amer Ajami, the PS3 was tough to develop for, and at the time, the game engine they were developing on wasn't designed with PlayStation in mind.
So now, two months later, we decided to contact EA for an update on the current status of the PS3 version. What we got back wa..."
Given the recent backlash against the DRM and SecuROM in Spore, you would think that EA might change their tactics? Nope- they are standing strongly by it, though they have lightened up and are allowing 5 installs before you have to contact their wonderful customer support for Red Alert 3.
EA decided to be generous, and give away the original Red Alert for free. All you have it just click the download link, and it goes straight onto your computer, no troubles or anything. You can also get Red Alert 2 if you pre-order Red Alert 3 from certain stores.

GameInformer, a monthly magazine about games, had the chance to go to EA's Pre-E3 event and check out tons of games, which include Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Madden NFL 09, and Left4Dead. Check out what GI said about all of these games by hitting the link!

Yet another blow for Sony who have previously announced two much-awaited games being canned. I previously asked What ever happened to Red Alert for the PS3, and unfortunately, it seems we have the answer now - it too has been 'canned'. With there being no official reason behind the cancellation, we can only hope that it's only being delayed like Bioshock... however chances for that are slim...
It seems that the Playstation 3 version of Red Alert 3 is currently in limbo, since a recent 'video walkthrough' of Red Alert 3 by EA mention Red Alert 3 coming to the XBOX360 and PC version, however a mention of a PS3 version was nowhere to be found.
Red Alert is back and looking better than ever. IGN had the first hands on of the game and when they got to some of the ground units, it seems they were taking a bit of a more 'unhinged' approach than the older games. Red Alert was never the most realistic game, what with Echo Emitter Dolphins and Commandos that could take down bases with a single desert eagle. This time however, the craziness is being kicked up a notch to include, yes, you heard me.. Parachuting bears! Oh and lets not forget...
