Condemned 2: Bloodshot

Condemned 2: Bloodshot

Halloween is here and Goozernation has a list of the top 10 scariest games to play. There are so many to choose from, Silent Hill 2, Dead Space, Alan Wake, Eternal Darkness, Condemned 1, Amnesia, as well as many others. Nothing like playing in a dark room with the surround sound cranked up.

There are good drunk and bad drunk. Though it's obvious that there's more bad drunks. Look at these top eight characters as they get loaded with liquor. Don't worry, these virtual characters can't die from intoxication.

"I dont quite know where to begin when telling others about a game idea. I suppose one would normally start with the story, but much like Left 4 Dead, my game idea doesnt have a story. It would more or less be a series of small multiplayer games, exactly like Left 4 Dead, where the story could be filled in by the players. Unlike Left 4 Dead however, each story would not take place over 5 mini levels, but one spanning level."

"The third day of Christmas is upon us! Now all those festivities are out of the way, it's time to burn off all those extra calories with a bit of thumb twiddling!

Today we run through March: a typically busy month for videogame releases, in anticipation for Easter..."

So, by now everyone should know that Silent Hill Homecoming is being refused a rating for Australia, as well as recieving a handful of negative reviews, disappointing a lot of fans. Blogger Ken La Kira has made an attempt at lightening the mood a little by typing up an article containing five other games from the same genre which they deem as better.

Ok, so perhaps that doesn't make you feel entirely better but at least you have alternatives. The list consists of:

  1. Silent Hill 2
  2. Reside...

Two Condemned 2 commercials have been banned from airing in the UK in their present state, says the UK's Advertising Standards Authority. The commercials showed acts extremely violent, too much to show on TV.

Gamasutra's Brandon Sheffield sat down with Sega of America's CEO Simon Jeffery to discuss the house that Sonic built. The longtime Nintendo rival made headlines when it announced that it was dropping out of console manufacturing after the demise of the woefully underappreciated Sega Dreamcast. Steadily growing stronger, however, is the developer/publisher's western division, which has become the sixth biggest publisher in the United States, and has acquired a few studios in the West.

Condemned 2: Bloodshot may well be one of the horror titles of the year according to Gaming Nexus. They have praised the game saying that Monolith (the developers) have addressed pretty much every issue present in the first game. The only real let downs being the lack of story in the later half of the game and a poor online component. In the end they gave the game a 8.5

Remember this? Oops, they've done it again! After being at the top for some time, Sonic and Mario have once again reclaimed the spot.

Gamers on the Sega Forum's have posted reports that in the first level of Condemned 2: Bloodshot for the Playstation 3 there are times when the audio has the tendency to drop or even be lost for a set time.

Sega have said to be investigating the cause to find a solution but for now suggest to gamers to use the standard AV cable, instead of the HDMI cable whilst they sort it out and release a patch.

Well, Nintendo's biggest heavy hitter is out now as of yesterday, but that doesn't mean you should ignore the rest of the titles that come out this week. Also, pay attention to the Virtual Console, with some quality releases there too.

"Sega has sent out another video for Condemned 2: Bloodshot. In this one, the lead game designer, Frank Rooke, walks us through some of the new things the game offers when compared to the 2005 original. He talks about a number or additions, the more entertaining one of them being about how the player can use the environment to pull off some rather brutal finishing moves. Who of us wouldn’t want to put a guy through a TV head first?"

"At a recent press event, we played through and took a look at four Condemned 2 multiplayer modes -- your standard multiplayer modes (Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch) and two called "Bum Rush" and "Crimescene." The tastefully named Bum Rush pits two agents, armed with firearms, against waves of "Influenced" (aka bums). They rush the agents until either the agents are dead or the time runs out. The one who kills the most agents -- assuming they're able to -- then turns into an agent for the next..."

Players will assume the identity of Ethan Thomas, former Serial Crimes Unit investigator. You have been called back to duty to track down his missing partner. The events that took place in Ethan’s past were very disturbing and have left him a broken man. He will either have to overcome this set back or die in his new upcoming title Condemned 2: Bloodshot. Here is a very thorough preview and a movie where you get a short walkthrough/developer interview.

"June 4, 2007 - SEGA wants to scare the civilized out of you. As revealed last month , the popular Japanese publisher has teamed up with Monolith Productions for a second time to bring Condemned 2: Bloodshot to the masses next spring. A darker, more brutal extension of the Xbox 360 launch hit, Condemned 2 follows protagonist Ethan Thomas as he deals with the bloody aftermath of Criminal Origins and how he picks up the pieces.

Unfortunately for fans of the series, details about the game have..."
