"Some say product placements are done in the name of realism. Others say they serve as a quick-and-easy moneygrab for publishers. Regardless of your stance, those that sloppily shove a product where it doesn’t belong manage to turn any immersive game into an infomercial of Michael Bay proportions, with a heaping helping of annoyance - at no additional charge."
"For as long as I can remember, one of the games I found myself playing in times that I was stressed out or feeling a little down was Crazy Taxi. There was just something about the game, being able to climb behind the wheel of a custom-made taxi and letting loose in a city filled with desperate customers that couldn’t walk (seriously, they just stand around) and picking them up to make some mad scratch, getting from point A to point B and not letting anything—pedestrians, buses, traffic—get in..."
Sega have always been well known for their awesome arcade games, in particular Daytona and Sega Rally. Crazy Taxi was another that was released in the arcades to critical acclaim. Then when the Dreamcast came along Sega successfully transported it into our lounge rooms. Now it comes to the Xbox Live Arcade. Is it true to its arcade and Dreamcast roots? Read our review to find out.
Crazy Taxi is finally pulling into the garage for Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network, as Sega has set a late November release date for the game. Better yet, it'll only set you back $9.99. That's crazy!
"I just want to start off by apologizing for the title of this article. It’s a lie. In no way will these games help you beat any kind of heat. Unless the games are made out of ice cubes and you play them by dumping them down your pants, these titles will not help you survive the sun which is trying oh-so-desperately to kill you."
After the rumors, SEGA has finally announced the inevitable: the Dreamcast makes its return this generation, with Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi headed for both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this fall.
Both games will be available to play at SEGA's booth at E3.
"With the industry’s mega event, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, set to kick-off on the 15th, there’s a lot of speculation about what surprises will be unveiled at the mega-convention. Many publishers have already revealed their game lineups publicly, while others have kept a tight lid on the subject of E3. We wanted to look at a troubled publisher who once was at the top of the hardware and software biz, but has seen some issues lately. Mainly we wanted to run down the titles we think coul..."
Good news for fans of the Sega Dreamcast as it looks like some of the classic titles from that defunct system will be making their way to Xbox Live Arcade at least. I wouldn't be surprised to see them on PSN either.
It's been a while since the Sega's console the Dreamcast was put out of business, but this doesn't mean it didn't have any classic games that will always remembered. From commanding toys in Toy Commander to avenging your fathers death in Shenmue.
The console had one of the greatest game line ups ever before the Playstation 2 came and well pretty much basically crushed the party.
Anyone who doesn't know why Sega stopped supporting the Dreamcast is mostly because of piracy. With such a ...
"Last time I collected NeoGAF’s great MS Paint renditions of video games, it was for a years worth. Someone decided to start the thread early, which is fine with me as a lot of great work from Junior Members of the board are now able to participate, along with some classic pieces from older members. Below are just my favorite picks, enjoy guessing which games they are from, and make sure to check the original thread which is still active on NeoGAF."
"1999. The last year of the 20th Century. It was a good one, although since it followed on the heels of one of the single best years the industry had ever seen, software-wise, it is often forgotten. However, in addition to the games that are on the final list, just a few of the top tier titles released in 1999 included Alpha Centauri, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Unreal Tournament and Soul Calibur. Indeed, as we come closer to our 2008 list, we find these lists getting harder ..."
