"As you are suited up in your new spiffy nanosuit that is tricked out so Prophet can purvey the Seven Wonders – sliced in 7 sectors in the Liberty Dome – you will use new alien tech to accomplish the grudge against the vile Cell Corporation to avenge with you scavenge, hunt, and gather."
Crytek’s Tiago Sousa comments on the anti-aliasing methods that will be used in the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the upcoming game, Crysis 3.
Cevat Yerli (founder, CEO and President of Crytek) comments on the graphics differences for Crysis 3 on the three platforms: PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
""The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. This dangerous new world demands advanced weapons and tactics. Prophet will utilize a lethal composite bow, an enhanced Nanosuit and devastating alien tech to become the deadliest hunter on the planet.""
NoobFeed.com is glad to announce that FPS elite Crytek will be taking on the sequel to THQ's Homefront. Despite lesser reviews, the publisher is not letting its spirits down by enlisting some of the strongest men in shooter land.
Electronic Arts and Crytek GmbH, announced today that Crysis will be available for download via Sony's and Xbox's digital channels (PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE).
No longer a rumor, the official trailer has been released for Crysis on Xbox 360 and PS3. Whats even cooler is that they will be downloadable titles! Can you believe we've advanced enough to fit all that information onto an XBLA/PSN title?
Crytek's Crysis, also known has a title that will break any PC in terms of its demand for power, is now rumored to come to consoles, at least Xbox 360. Make the jump to check out the details.
"Yesterday, it was reported there was a listing found on the Korean Games Rating Board for a potential port of the original Crysis on the Xbox 360. The game was released the latter part of 2007, and wowed audiences with its amazing graphics. It seems that now the ESRB has rated both an Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 version of the game, thus almost confirming its release."
With the recent onslaught of "Next-Gen" technology in the news the past few months, it was only a matter of time before Crytek, the studio that brought the visually dazzling Crysis...
Crytek, most famous for the game Crysis and creating one hell of an engine is upset with what could be future German laws. Germany is about to outlaw even the production of violent games, which would leave Crytek either two options: outscource or leave the country. The law isn't official yet as a petition is in the works to block it from ever becoming official.
Nothing huge to speak of this week, though a few things out of the ordinary have turned up, like Crysis: Maximum Edition, which houses the original Crysis, side-story Crysis Warhead, and the latter game's multiplayer mode Crysis Wars.
Besides that, Wii owners are treated to a remake of the solid platformer Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, and DS owners can experience the classic Jagged Alliance, a Fallout/Shadowrun-ish game which got its start on PC many years ago.
"Crytek has unveiled CryEngine 3 - not the next PC-exploding iteration of the tech, as the name would suggest, but an "all-in-one game development solution" for Xbox 360, PS3 and MMOs.
"CryEngine 3 is a revolutionary change from our previous PC-only engines," said Crytek CEO, Cevat Yerli of the engine. "CryEngine 3 will set the benchmark for complete game engine solutions in performance, and services to game engine licensees and their players.

"Crytek announced today that it has founded Crytek Ltd., a subsidiary company in Seoul. The South-Korean based office, led by gaming industry veteran Young Mok Park, started operations recently. The team will expand Crytek's business into Asian markets, starting with Crytek's engine licensing business, with a dedicated engine support team for their existing and new partners in Korea and Asia..."
"If you thought that EA might have been humbled by the massive Internet backlash against its use of SecuROM in its recent games, then youd be wrong. Speaking at the Dow Jones/Nielsen Media and Money Conference, EAs CEO John Riccitiello claimed that the whole issue had been blown out of all proportion.
We implemented a form of DRM and it's something that 99.8 per cent of users wouldn't notice, claimed Riccitiello, but for the other 0.2 percent, it became an issue and a number of them la..."
"Crytek and Valve have announced that both Crysis and the forthcoming Crysis Warhead will be released on Steam on September 17 in North America (18 worldwide), with pre-orders having already begun this weekend. The original Crysis will run you $39.99, and Crysis Warhead $29.99.
"Crytek is one of the industry's great success stories, emerging new technology and talent," said Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve. "Crysis is one of today's leading PC franchises and delivering the ori..."
A series of emails back and forth between EA "Customer Support" and a customer who was having problems with his downloaded purchase of Crysis.
After the usual banter about system specs, DirectX Diagnostics and network issues- they ultimately reply with the below quote.
Yikes.
"Everyone needs to check out the media on this outstanding work-in-progress level called Niveus. The level has been put together in Sandbox 2, of course, and it features a stunning custom-modeled/textured medieval city crafted by environment artist Andrew "androkles" Hasko. It took two and a half months of Andrew's time to reach this development stage for the level.
According to Hasko the goal was to not make a playable level per se but a medieval environment which is nice to look at, and ..."
Crytek, the developer of the highly enjoyed PC game Crysis, spoke at a panel involving video game graphics at the Leipzig GC, telling everyone that Crysis took over $22 million dollars to make.
Although it took so much money to develop, the game was still profitable for the popular developer. Cevat Yerli, the CEO of Crytek, said "if it wasn't profitable I wouldn't be able to stand here."
I bet if the game wasn't pirated by so many people, Crytek would have gained even more money off o...
Activision has recently settled upon a contract with PureBalance, the creators of the anti-cheat software called PunkBuster. The software will be tied into CoD: World at War and will make sure no hacking or glitching occurs when the game is released and onward.
PunkBuster has also planted its roots in the Battlefield series, Crysis, and F.E.A.R.
Electronic Arts has pinned down the release date for the upcoming Crysis Warhead: Europe will get it slightly earlier than North America (September 12th); the rest of us will have it on shelves September 16th.
"When the original Crysis released in late 2007, it raised the bar for graphics. However, since the graphics were so impressive, the system requirements intimidated many PC owners who didn't have killer gaming rigs. The German developer is attempting to alleviate that fear to reach a wider install base.
Yerli told German publication PCGames.de to expect Warhead to run any where from 30-35 frames per second at high settings on a $620 rig.
While Yerli said Warhead's optimizations were poss..."
Crytek have been a pioneer in the PC gaming industry, from Farcry to Crysis they have always delivered an outstanding gaming experience. But now in what could be a defining moment in the future of PC gaming, Engine business manager Harald Seeley from Crytek has announced that they will not create new PC exclusives and that all new franchises will be created with a cross platform strategy in mind
We finally have some information regarding the recently announced Crysis Warhead. It seems as though the game sets you in the shoes of "Psycho", a gun-happy squadmate from the original game. During that story, he is missing on his own operation for a while (you meet up with him later and he drops a hint to the effect of 'You'll never guess what happened to me'). Now we will find out exactly where he was and even interact with the player's original character from Crysis.
If you guys didn't here, Crytek announced that they would no longer be making patches to Crysis for a "good reason". A lot of people were wondering when that good reason would come and it looks like it's here already! It's a new Crysis game! The official website of Crysis has been updated with a single picture for Crysis Warhead, which is most likely going to be the next game in the series.
"At this time, there almost certainly will not be a patch 1.3 delivered for Crysis. We are aware that this news will disappoint many of you, and we would like to apologize profusely. There is a good reason for this and we hope you understand when you hear more about the reasons why in the very, very near future. Please realize this was an extremely difficult decision, but please do know that we are listening to your comments and are making more consistent community support a high priority.

"Cevat Yerli: It is certainly. We are suffering currently from the huge piracy that is encompassing Crysis. We seem to lead the charts in piracy by a large margin, a chart leading that is not desirable. It was a big lesson for us and I believe we wont have PC exclusives as we did with Crysis in future. We are going to support PC, but not exclusive anymore.
Cevat Yerli: Crysis as we have seen is impossible. Crysis would have to be largely changed to bring it to Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. Cry..."
"The latest issue of UK magazine, PSW, features an article stating that "it's no secret Crysis is coming to PS3". They explain the upcoming PlayStation 3 version will have aspects of the sequel, and is not a direct port. Let's take a look at the article.
"First up, we have Crysis. Now it's no secret that Crysis is coming to PS3 this year. The excitable, hard-worked coders over at Crytek have said as much in many interviews - they've even produced a new, multi-platform engine in readines..."
"The winners of the 2nd annual ELANS Awards have been announced and with five awards, this years big winner is BioWare. Their sci-fi RPG Mass Effect walked away with the Game of the Year, Best Art Direction, Best Game Design, Best Writing for a Game Production, and Best Character (Commander Shepard) awards."
"At the Game Developers Conference next month, for the first time ever, Crytek will be showing how CryENGINE 2 runs on other systems, namely on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Dont get too excited just yet though - the presentation will be open to a select audience only, so whether or not some footage will be released outside that room is a big fat question mark right now."

"Although Ubisofts sprawling third-person epic Assassins Creed runs without any serious issues on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it would appear that PC gamers hoping to fully enjoy the adventures of master assassin Altair will first need to think about investing in better hardware.
Specifically, Windows XP and Vista owners should be armed with a minimum of 2GB of RAM (3GB recommended) as well as a 2.6GHz Intel Pentium D CPU as basic (with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz or better recommended). ..."
It seems as if there's still things that haven't been discovered about Crysis. Recently, it was discovered that going out of bounds in the game will lead to a (Very realistic looking) shark attacking you.
"Even before the PC version released, rumours of a PS3 conversion of the stunning Crysis (developed by Far Cry creators Crytek) were rife, and not far off the mark if insiders at the studio are to be believed. The game looks to be a port of the PC original plus some extra modes and features, a kind of Crysis 1.5. Like the PC game you can expect a visual powerhouse; an open-world shooter that begins on a beautiful tropical island before things take a turn for the worse and aliens from a paralle..."

Here goes the Crysis on consoles rumor again. An online store has listed a 360 version of the game as being available in November this year. Crytek has said in the past that if the PC version got great review scores then console versions are very possible. Keep your fingers crossed!
"Desolation: The long deserted colony of the Pitcairn Islands was one of the last crash sites to be discovered. The KPA reached the area first and set up a base amid the swampy wasteland.

One of the biggest FPS for console and PC's didn't do so hot in sales in this month. Crysis being criticaly acclaimed only sold 86K. Mainly because most peoples computer can't even run the game. And Unreal Tournament only sold 33K because it was over shadowed by many other FPS's such as Bioshock, Halo 3, Call Of Duty 4 and The Orange Box. Maybe sales will pick up after December.
We're getting some very highly anticipated games this week. Really wonderful selection. Open up that there wallet and partake in some magnificent gaming.
This is a pretty hearty sized notable games list, and should deserve some playing time, no matter what your console allegiance is. We're all gamers here. Defense Forces need not apply. Support good games!

If you can't wait till the 16th November, you can check you the demo where it's currently available to download here.

Bad news for the gamers who pre-ordered Crysis with the promise of getting the demo a day before the rest of the world ... Apparently the demo is completely unplayable!
With numerous errors occuring once the demo has been installed, it seems that nobody has managed to actually play the "early release" of the demo yet.
Here's hoping these errors will be fixed by the the time the rest of the world is able to play it. Just 11 hours to go ...
The Crysis single player demo is set to be released in 14 hours for the PC, although by the time you read this news post it should evidently be less than 14 hours away. Early players who have experienced the demo have said that they've had trouble getting it to work.
The Crysis demo should include the first level and a game editor. The game Crysis won the award Best PC Game from Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2007.
Crysis will be released simultaneously in both American & European ter...
With the highly anticipated demo of Crysis being pushed back there's a bit of a surprise for all of you. I'm happy to announce that I got a heads up from a friend over at EA that Fileplanet is giving out keys. RIGHT NOW (zomg).
I managed to get my key, you better hurry up and get yours too if you want to get in to the beta. So, did you get your key yet? have they already run out? what's your story.
Note: This is for the multi player beta not the single player.
"This 3-disc set contains a tremendous amount of extras including behind the scenes looks and interviews with the minds behind Crysis at Crytek, and some of the breathtaking art that has kept people buzzing since the games debut. Beyond getting one of the years most anticipated PC games and first person shooters of 2007, the special steelbook box will contain:

PC fans, you've gotta love their calm and assured sense of being when it comes to high-quality gaming. And who could blame them when the likes of Crysis, Rage, StarCraft II, Age of Empires III, HellGate: London, and Tabula Rasa are all on the cards... and ALL exclusive. Not GamerSquad. Take a look at some of the collected goodness on offer on the PC format and perhaps take a step back from all that Xbox 360 vs. PlayStation 3 nonsense for a moment. Clarity is a beautful thing.
Phil Wright, of MCV was written an article, giving his opinion and reasoning why better graphics in games equal better gameplay. First, he gives examples. The first example talks about you chasing a thief through the city and people are bustling past you. The way they react gives better gameplay. Another example would be when you're lying in tall grass, waiting to ambush an enemy and the wind, the tree, how the grass reacts to the wind and how each individual blade moves. This gives hype.

Oldmike of the Playstation 3 Forum reportably went to GameStop and took a couple pictures that show possible box art for Crysis on the Playstation 3. When he asked about it, the manager of the shop overheard and yelled at the employee that it shouldn't be on the shelves yet. Whether this is another fake or not we do not know but very interesting none the less.
Yesterday it was known there was going to be a date push back, but, how far and how much are we going to cry? far...cry...get it? anyways, it was announced by EA today that Crysis can be expected to ship out on November 16th 2007 just in time for the Holidays. The news is that Crysis will be released for PC only on the November 16th date. Console owners who don't have a beefy godly computer will have to sit on their hands for now.
"According to Electronic Arts executives speaking during the company's latest analyst conference call, Crytek's highly anticipated first-person shooter Crysis has been delayed into the company's upcoming third fiscal quarter, which runs from October to December of this year. EA expects the game to release in early November.
Previously, Crysis was only officially confirmed as releasing in fiscal year 2008. Last month, various sources reported on a fact sheet claiming a September 14 ship date...."
"The day after Epic Games' Mark Rein stated that PC gaming technology (with Crysis cited as currently being the PC pinnacle) would be stifled for years to come by the profiteering of home consoles, today brings the closest information so far perpetuating the hope that Crysis might just be heading to the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3."
"Epic's Mark Rein has said the huge gulf between low-end and high-end PCs at present is making PC development a lot less economically viable.
He added that developers are going to want to plump for creating games on the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 rather than the PC, even if it means restricting themselves from the limits of their known graphical capabilities."

"Global tensions have reached boiling point as the U.S. and North Korea square off in the South China Sea. At stake: a mysterious artifact uncovered by a team of U.S. archaeologists.
The North Korean government quickly seizes the area, prompting the U.S. to dispatch an elite team of Special Forces operatives on a rescue mission. During the siege the true nature of the artifact quickly emerges, pointing to the existence of an alien presence on Earth, and ultimately the trigger for a massive-s..."

"IGN AU: Crysis is probably the other really big DX10 example. We've heard a few reports about the performance of that under DX10 and we have an expectation of how this game will look, based on all the screens that have come out. Can you comment on the performance of that? Will we get to see all of this eye candy running on today's hardware?
Keita Iida: We have nothing but pure confidence - especially with 8800-series cards - that with Crysis, you're going to have a tremendous experience. A..."
