"For many of us the VGAs were a bit underwhelming.
We had new announcements in the form of new ‘post-apocaliptic’ zombie survival type games (sigh), and new footage of some upcoming games that look either very promising (Bioshock Infinite, Hitman Absolution) or incredibly silly (Metal Gear Rising: Revengance, or as I call it: Devil May Rise: Cryvengance).
Then we had the idiocy that made our gaming industry look even more puerile with ‘tea bagging’ those whose speech went a little long and..."

"While the original Crysis has long represented the benchmark of PC gaming, its successor hasn't garnered quite the same reputation. It appears that Crytek is nearly ready to release an updated version of the game, targeted specifically for DX11 cards."

""The developers of Crysis 2 have been talking a lot of talk leading up to the game’s release. Boasting the best graphics on any platform and most sophisticated AI and level design to date are hard things to live up to. While Crysis 2 is beautiful and a blast to play, some of the hype appears to have been taken from the Peter Molyneux school of press releases.""
"Time and time again we look into how video games are not adapting well to film. We dive down into the cracks and explain how we would fix it. We talk about games that would make fantastic movies, (and directors that should stay away from them). However there is one key aspect people seem to be missing. Video games are starting to become better story tellers than many Hollywood movies, and at the end of that road maybe a video game will be the front runner to a film."

"Woop woop, it's finally here! The sequel to one of my favourite PC AAA titles has brought some nice sandbox action to console players, and offers a refreshing world in which to shoot stuff. Crysis 2 continues the story of the Ceph invasion, and pits Alcatraz, a US marine who inherits a powerful biosuit against vastly superior forces intent on both capturing him and destroying the world."
Honestly, Crytek can't catch a break when it comes to the video game landscape. First, they had a security breach which led to Crysis 2 being leaked. Now, there are cheaters running rampant in their latest multiplayer offering. Check out the full story for all the details.
"It’s been a little over a week since the release of Crytek’s latest shooter and despite whether you like the game or not, everyone seems to be having their say. It’s quite sad to see the sheer overwhelming amount of negativity hurled towards the title. But are people simply whining for the sake of whining, or is there justification? I’ve been playing a lot of the game recently and have come to the conclusion that the more I play it, the closer I come to the realization that it’s not only a di..."

It was pretty known by Crysis 1 and Warhead gamers to optimize many details of the game. You were able to change the Depth of Field or Field of View."
"It’s no secret that Crytek have a high reputation for pushing hardware to it’s limits. In fact, it was only until last year that I had a system with enough testosterone to enjoy the original Crysis with the visual flair that was originally intended. While for many this may be considered a bad thing, there’s no denying that their games are more than just visual benchmarks – they’re solid titles by their own merits and often makes it hard to resist buying that new graphics card or computer upgr..."

Online retailer, Amazon.com, has revealed their extremely enticing launch day deal for the first-person shooter, Crysis 2 on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
"I’ll confess. I didn’t play the original Crysis. Blame Crytek for building an engine that still struggles to run on high settings of contemporary PCs, much less consoles. While there needs to be standard bearers for graphics processing power, for good or bad, the original Crysis still sets the standard on PC gaming in the visual arena. Unfortunately, it makes for an exclusive group of gamers."
Crytek has finally released Crysis 2 and what better way to do that than release a gorgeous cinematic trailer along with it. The trailer really shows off the Nano suit that will play a significant role in the gameplay. Check out the video. Cheers!

"When players think of the Crysis franchise, their minds usually go to one thing: the graphics. A franchise renowned for pushing PCs (and now consoles) to the limit, the upcoming Crysis 2 is a beautiful game. Fortunately, limiting our discussion on Crysis 2 to graphics is cutting the game short. It’s safe to say that people know little about the original Crysis’ storyline. As someone entering the series with zero knowledge of the nanosuit, aliens, etc., I was a little apprehensive about trying..."

As everyone is now probably aware, Crysis 2 PC version has been leaked, or at least a near completed version of the game has. Many videos have popped up over the internet of various parts of the game, however, by far the most impressive thus far is the intro to the game. Do not watch the video if you don’t want spoilers.
"That was the general consensus and everybody seemed fine with it. Sure, pirates out there made justifications for why they were downloading it while other people got somewhat holier-than-thou about it all and decried them all, screaming that pirates should burn in hell. No matter what, nobody thought this would do anything but hurt Crytek."
A new video has hit YouTube showcasing the first 25 minutes of Crytek's lastest offering into the first-person genre. Check out the full story for impressions and the video. Cheers!
"Who really didn't see this coming sooner or later? News recently broke out that an "unfinished" version of Crysis 2 has been leaked and is now dripping through the internet connections of many hungry thieves all over the world. This leak contains not only what is presumably the full single player campaign, but also multiplayer with serial key included. This news will surely make pirates cream from their eyeballs and knock their wooden legs together, but ultimately comes a really low blow to C..."

"Poor Crysis 2. While it’s an anticipated game, it’s always going to hide behind the ground breaking beauty of its predecessor. After all, Crysis 1 is still the standard bearer for game graphics, and the fact that Crysis 2 is not only going on PC, but the Xbox 360 and the PS3, means that across the board there are some expected cuts."
A few days ago the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo was released exclusively on Xbox LIVE. The game players very much like Call of Duty...only better in every way. Could Crysis 2 oust Black Ops from the #1 spot?
So Crytek released a crappy demo of their upcoming first-person shooter, Crysis 2. Today we find out that players are having issues with the game freezing. Check out the article for Crytek's response.

With this being my first EA press event, I didn’t know what to expect...other than the free food and drinks on the house and the 20 TVs all set up each with the Xbox 360 Crysis 2 multiplayer demo out for display. Seeing how I haven’t even played the first Crysis, one could say that I came into my first playthrough with fresh eyes.

"Today, though, an undercurrent of displeasure has manifested itself over at Crymod, Crytek’s official modding forum. Lavizh, a four star ‘Experienced Modder’ revealed an angry email he’s sent to Crytek."
"2010 gave PC gamers enough variety and support to keep most of us happy and push away the rumors that “PC gaming is dead”. The long awaited Star Craft 2 was welcomed with open arms by Star Craft fans, the latest installment of the Call of Duty series let us have dedicated servers for Black Ops even though the game its self was a little on the buggy side, Indie developers showed the big boys how to make a scary game with Amnesia, WoW players scored another dose of their addiction in the form o..."

"Critical Gamer writes: My time spent with Crysis 2 seemed very brief. Playing it on the lovely open platform that the PC provides, the game build was, unfortunately, not that stable, with a frantic man running between the machines, correcting the crashes that happened consistently throughout the day. It was understandably a buggy pre-release version of a game due out next year, and on the plus side, it let me play the same section twice in a row. This would normally have been frustratingly te..."

People love Crysis, but why? Is it the gameplay, the story, the graphics or the controls? Will people just buy any shooter on the 360 or PC? Well Jim Sterling has an opinion on the matter.
"You couldn’t help but notice Crysis 2 at Gamescom last week and fans must have gotten around to the massive EA booth on the show floor and queued up to get a look at the multiplayer shooter that was on show. Those fortunate to have gotten into the Crysis 2 booth and headed straight for the PC’s all came out quite happy but as I was last in the queue and the only machine left for me was a 360. As I rarely game on PC anymore I was quite happy to get a go on a console version and I still thought..."

"Electronic Arts has been on a roll with the EA Partners program. Perhaps you’ve heard of Rock Band, Left 4 Dead, and Crysis. The program put EA back on the maps of hardcore gamers, and shed EA’s snakeskin as the company for sequels and yearly sports titles with new rosters, and little else. It’s now safe to speak about love for EA in public without being ridiculed for falling prey to “the man.”"

The title is due for release on PC, PS3 and 360 later this year - but its critically lauded predecessor didn't arrive on console."
"Crytek has been talking up a storm since they announced Crysis 2 last week. We've heard the man behind the story of Crysis 2 knock Halo and Modern Warfare 2 and CEO, Cevat Yerli, talk about which game platform Crysis will run best on. Now Yerli predicts the end of the free game demos that gamers have become accustomed to having."
"Crytek games since Far Cry have been known to break the will of even the most powerful gaming PCs. When news hit that Crysis 2 was coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 at the same time as the PC version, gamers wondered how they could compare. Crytek CEO Cervat Yerli is leaving no doubt about where the graphically superior version of the game resides."
"Novelist Richard Morgan returns time and again to Uncharted 2 as proof positive that good storytelling can be found in games, if you but look hard enough...
“There is absolutely no reason why you can’t weld a really good narrative to a really cool shooting game. Uncharted 2 is the perfect example,” he told us “it’s tongue-in-cheek, but it’s a compelling story and it’s a very straight-forward gameplay dynamic. Crysis 2, fine, it is fundamentally about firefights – about shooting stuff – but..."

In an exclusive interview with NowGamer, Morgan was asked how he felt about the Halo series and Morgan did not hold back."
"Crytek will release Crysis 2 into an environment that wants to declare the high-budget console game a dinosaur in the face of digital and social gaming. A game like FarmVille, as is the common refrain of investors and venture capitalists, can garner millions of users and plenty of revenue without focusing on graphics at all.
"I think graphics matter a lot," Yerli asserts. "It depends on the type of game. If graphics and technology, AI and physics provide you a better experience but a chal..."
"Crysis 2 will technically propose a new experience.
