Quite a release week, for PC gamers especially. First we get (finally) Dark Sector, initially planned for simultaneous release, then The Last Remnant, Battleforge..life's pretty good. Although we can't recommend you pick up Dark Sector as it contains that horrid Starforce DRM.

There isn't really much exclusive stuff (not a bad thing, really), with PS3, Xbox 360 and PC owners alike receiving Stormrise, Wanted, and Wheelman, with the latter two seeing Legends of Wrestlemania.

Responsible for the PC porting of the game is Digital Extremes (which has developed the game for the next-gen consoles), worldwide known for its wide and important portfolio: in its reference titles we may find Unreal Tournament, Unreal Tournament 2003, Unreal Tourname..."

If you're an Aussie and you've been keeping up with the news for Dark Sector, you're not going to like this bit of news. The OFLC has chosen not to give the game a classification because it is a "violent and sometimes gruesome game with a sinister storyline and ominous outcome," which effectively prohibits the game from being sold in Australia. D3Publisher is yet to comment, but it's likely that the game will be edited and resubmitted to the OFLC in an attempt to obtain an MA15+ rating. Un...

"D3 Publisher of America has today announced that award-winning Hollywood actor Michael Rosenbaum is to lend his considerable vocal talents to core protagonist Hayden Tenno in upcoming sci-fi action extravaganza Dark Sector.

Rosenbaum is perhaps best know for his tormented performances as the dysfunctional (and distinctly bald headed) Lex Luthor on hit American television show ‘Smallville,’ which charts the early years in the life of Superman."

"PSU: The motion sensing feature of the SIXAXIS controller surprised most developers when it was announced because most did not know about it. Was it with the same with vibration (DualShock 3) support, or have you known about it for some time?

Carter: One of the nice things about developing our own engine (Dark Sector is running on our Evolution Engine) is that we can easily plug-in new cool features like DualShock 3. We did get a heads up from Sony prior to the announcement, so I wouldn't..."

In order to comply with this ruling, the ESRB has requested that the two Dark Sector gameplay montages be pulled immediately upon receipt of this notice and no longer made available for view by consumers."

"According to FiringSquad, Dark Sector, "the first ever next-gen game," has been delayed:

Originally scheduled for release this fall, a spokesperson for the game's publisher D3Publishing has now told FiringSquad, "We've decided to pull Dark Sector out of a very crowded holiday season and it is now slated for release in Q1 2008." The questions about the release date for the game began after retail sites like Gamestop showed a new Jan. 15 2008 release date for Dark Sector.
