"Much like the classic rock station I catch myself listening to on a daily basis, I feel that Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) is still a healthy part of my gaming diet. Sure, the more modern day games in the series are akin to Guns N' Roses’ Chinese Democracy, but I still enjoy the titles that are the video game equivalent of GnR’s pre-Axl Rose weight gain."
Have you ever watched the opening cinematic to a video game, only to find yourself trying to figure out what the heck that game is about? We've all been there, Opening videos that tell you nothing about the game you're playing. I dedicate this Top 5 list to those crazy suckers.
"Jr.com is having a pre-holiday sale on PC games, and these deals are tough to beat. Save some money when you buy any two PC games off the list of over 100 titles for just $7. These are hard copies of games that we’re talking about here, not something you’ll have to download and hope it works. This sale won’t last for long and the best titles will be in stock for even less time, so act quickly to save big."
"Dear Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo: not all gamers can stand up. Some of us are incapable of it no matter how much we wish to. Some of us are wheelchair bound or simply unable to stand for a long amount of time that is required for the Kinect and things like that. We would love to buy the latest and greatest technology but we can't."
"Ok just to clarify Konami doesn't actually think your kids are fat, but they are hosting a very big Dance Dance Revolution tournament to raise obesity awareness. The event will be held in West Virginia on July 27 and the 28th where the game has become extremely popular in the local community; whoever wins the tournament gets scholarships and other prizes."
Dancing games like Dance Dance Revolution might make experts seem amazing to normal gamers, but terrible dancers can sometimes be just as amazing. Here's The Kartel's Top 5 videogame dancing fails.
"The scene behind the scenes will never surrender its hard-earned pennies to this corporate machine, and have responded back by cooking up their own free versions, made free and with plenty of love."
"According to the Navy Surgeon General Vice Adm. Adam Robinson (quite the mouth full of a title), a new training regiment including "equivalents" of Wii-Fit and Dance Dance Revolution, among other physically engaging games, may soon be implemented in boot camp."
"As we all know, the one thing that sets videogames apart from other forms of media is interactivity. Being the catalyst for your own adventure is something that makes gaming more interesting to me than any movie or book. With videogames, one can stop being a mere passive observer and actually be a part of the action.
That said, if there's one thing I may have done more than playing videogames, it's watching videogames. Whether patiently waiting for my turn or being astounded by the skills..."
Dance Dance Revolution... the musical? Yes, it's true and there's pictures to prove it. Maybe they look a bit glam for what should be gamers, I don't remember that many heavy smokers... or smoke machines when I played... but it's all there none the less.

ScrewAttack goes through their 20 most influential entities in the gaming industry - dating as far back as the Atari 2600. Ranging from hardware innovations, energy drinks, LAN parties, to even specific games - this list is a worthwhile read to see what has influenced where gaming has been, and what has made it so great today.
"Ah, the Rhythm Action genre. Bashing away on a fake, plastic instrument or leaping around like a loon on a bunch of arrows while a banging track plays in the background. Do it well and youre a rock god on stage in front of thousands or the very ghost of Timberlake himself, throwing down some awesome shapes. For some people, this is escapism at its height. For others, well, they just dont get it."
"Konami's Dance Dance Revolution and Nintendo's Wii Fit have often been referred to in the same breath, much due to both games having the knack of leaving their players collapsed in an exhausted, sweaty heap on the floor after an intense session of play (intentionally or neigh). One DDR producer explained the firm is considering the Balance Board for future versions of the game."
Here is a compilation of 10 videos featuring some of the best gamers around the globe.
Would you like to see the classic Mario beaten in 5 minutes? It's done. Would you like to see the greatest Street Fighter comeback ever? It's here. At a middleschool in MORGANTOWN, W.Va to help encourage excersise and cardio workout they are offering the chance to play DDR during school.
DDR, short for Dance Dance Revolution is a game where you dance to a set of steps on screen to music. The game is actually quite a workout depending on the level of difficulty you choose to play at.
I think this school has the right thoughts in mind when they offer this to students to partake in during PE rather than the normal tedious activities s...
