"You won't find Link's Master Sword or Mario's fireballs here, folks. Instead, we've chosen to focus on those weapons that make players most eager to pull the trigger again and again."

"Violence and gore within games has always been a bit of a taboo subject. From concerned parents to naïve news reporters, violence in games has always been frowned upon. We all know however that the truth about gaming is that it is an escape and a way to have fun. Violence in games is not distasteful (in most cases) but it actually sometimes enhances the gaming experience"

Technical and graphical advancements have only made the depiction of violence easier to manufacture, with some games now displaying the brutality in such vivid and sadistic fashion that it almost makes you feel queasy.
With the recent release of Sony's God Of War 3, it seems like now is as good a time as any to examine some of the more gruesome deaths in our beloved medium.
So here's Digit..."

"The spookiest holiday of all is upon us, so today I would like to talk about the scariest, the most vile monster in all horrordom.
We’re not talking Freddy, Jason, Leatherface or any other demi-human serial killer. We’re talking about clowns a.k.a harbingers of small cars, seltzer water, custard pies, and unwanted hijinx. While I do not suffer from coulrophobia (fear of clowns) I do have a general distrust for them for some reason. I think it all stems from my early self watching the made f..."

"You know the formula. A pure-hearted beauty falls into the evil grasp of some snarling, spitting, mustache-twirling megalomaniac. A noble hero, driven by honor, courage and - let's face it - hormones, rushes to her aid. A brief kiss ensues and, before you can say sequel, the hapless lady has stumbled into imminent danger all over again. Tale as old as time... classic "damsel in distress."
Except sometimes, the damsel isn't worth the damn trouble. Sometimes you reach the end of your adventu..."
