Today the Official Dead Rising Facebook page posted that Frank West is packing for a new adventure and asked fans of the page what he would need for a trip to 'paradise'

Raptr analyzes one of the most interesting exchanges of gaming achievements between Capcom's Dead Rising series and Valve's Left 4 Dead. Both games require gamers to kill well over 53,000 zombies to earn a coveted achievement that only 2-4% have gotten. Online retailer Amazon has revealed what appears to be the official Japanese box art for the upcoming Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 survival horror game, Dead Rising 2.
"Inafune, executive producer on the game and "Father of Mega Man," said "We thought it would be interesting to take an adult, gory, M-rated game and put it in this children's fantasy world." Fortune City was ultimately chosen as the game's basis, offering some of the same contrast between fun playground and ultraviolent adventure.

"Capcom Europe has announced that Dead Rising 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the multi-million selling Dead Rising, will be released in Europe on September 3rd 2010, in North America on August 31st and Japan on September 2nd for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Apparently Capcom's Q1 2010 release schedule was too crowded and in order to avoid having the games compete with each other (and other games) they've decided space to out the releases throughout the fiscal year. As a result of this, Super Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, and the North American release of Monster Hunter Tri have all been delayed. No concrete dates have been given but you can expect these titles to be released any time between April 2010 and March 2011.
The Dead Rising 2 booth was quite popular at this year's Tokyo Game Show. While many people flocked to play the DR2 demo, there was an added incentive for attendees to check out the game's multiplayer. Whoever won the night's multiplayer Dead Rising 2 tournament would also win an official motorcycle jacket, as worn by Chuck Greene in the upcoming game.

The confusion at GDC09 left many of us wondering whether Dead Rising 2 will have multiplayer or not. Well Capcom have now confirmed that, yes, the game will have multiplayer.

According to the upcoming issue of Famitsu, the character's name is Chuck Greene. That's right "Chuck". We're already putting in our short and punchy naming recommendation for Dead Rising 3: "Jack"."
At the recent GDC 09, Capcom announced that the upcoming zombie title Dead Rising 2 will have a multiplayer option. They are also hoping to have as many as 6000 characters onscreen at one time.
Update: It looks like he Multiplayer rumor has just been debunked. Product Manager Laura Scholl "mistakenly referred to the game as multiplayer instead of multiplatform". That doesn't necessarily mean there won't be a multiplayer option. It just means tht Capcom haven't confirmed/denied it yet.

Capcom certainly aren't being risky this gen, recently confirming that Dead Rising 2 the long awaited sequal to the original zombie mall outing will be coming to both the 360 and the PS3. According to japanese gaming mag Famitsu the 360 version will be getting a few extras but there will be no major differences.
With one of the first games to be welcomed greatly by many 360 fans after 2 years the sequel has now been confirmed.
Although Capcom has decided to change the developers who developed the first game. The developers working on the sequel are based in Canada and they go by the name 'Blue Castle'. They've currently only developed two titles called 'The Bigs' & 'MLB Front Office Manager' which is yet to be released.
