Capcom's foray into the game-to-movie business might not have been well revieved with Resident Evil: Degeneration, but maybe they will have more luck with Dead Rising? Yep, Capcom have recently announced that they are making a live-action Dead Rising movie. See the trailer below...

"Capcom have released an image of the European Box Art for the forthcoming Wii exclusive release, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. Now officially stamped with a BBFC 18 Certificate – as if there was ever any doubt..."

Capcom recently voiced it's concerns over the potential "smear campaign" that the media may make against its upcoming games, (particularly Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising Wii), due to the violence and gore that appears in those titles.

Capcom worry that "in the event of violent incidents and other criminal cases involving juveniles, we may be subject to a smear campaign by some sections of the mass media which often point out the correlation between crime and games".

Christian Svensson, Capcom USA's Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development, has stated over on the Capcom Unity forums that the newly-announced Dead Rising game, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, is not a port. It is being remade from the ground up for the Wii and will implement its own mechanics, while keeping the same story and location. The game will run off of an updated Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition engine.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop is set to hit US shore...

In the latest issue of Japanese weekly magazine Famitsu, it was revealed that Capcom will be porting the Xbox 360 zombie survival horror Dead Rising to a Wii console near you.

The game will try to be as close to the 360 source as it can, and will feature extra content such as a new boss and changes to the weapons, along with other things not mentioned. Difficulty will be made easier, and camera and controls will be modified apparently to be more like Resident Evil 4.
