"Ask yourself, if you will; what is a game?
I suppose you could see the question from any number of angles, any number of interpretations. You could view it mechanically – a typical game involves an actor, maybe several, multiple mechanics, parameters. You could take each individual aspect of a game and put a magnifying glass to it. Or you could take it at its most literal definition; something to be played."
First world gamer problems. How do you balance an MMO, a creative indie title, an engrossing FPS/RPG, and a full-time job?
Just a day in the life of an adult gamer, something we can all relate to.
"2011 has been a very well-paced year for gamers. We started out with a couple of hits in January and ended with a major release less than a week before Christmas. My favorites this year include horror, comedy, epic RPG’s, downloadable arcade games, and even a DLC pack from a 2010 game that was so good it deserves just as much honor as the full games. Developers are making great games at a faster rate than anyone can play them all, but here are ten that I thoroughly enjoyed."
"As the retail season enters it’s final cataclysmic hours before Christmas some consumers are amassing at retail establishments, while their smarter counterparts are now reading the internet looking for downloadable games that can be gifted at the last moment. Of course the wise consumer also knows that these year end game sales are also a way to catch up the previous year’s hit games for a fraction of their launch prices. Below, the DoEE has compiled the best sales of the Christmas rush for..."

"Looking back on everything that came out this year, there’s a lot of stuff I missed; and a lot more stuff that I forgot even came out (Dead Space 2 was this year?!). This was a really good year for gaming, and now I have a lot of games that I’ll have to talk about on The Catch-Up. Like…"
"2011 has been a busy year for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers alike. With a great amount of exclusives being released for the PlayStation 3, narrowing the list down to a top five is quite difficult. Add in some amazing multiplatform games also released this year, and the task is almost impossible. While I had the opportunity to play a lot of great games in 2011, the top five games I feel I must give a nod to are Dead Space 2, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Kill..."
"For many of us the VGAs were a bit underwhelming.
We had new announcements in the form of new ‘post-apocaliptic’ zombie survival type games (sigh), and new footage of some upcoming games that look either very promising (Bioshock Infinite, Hitman Absolution) or incredibly silly (Metal Gear Rising: Revengance, or as I call it: Devil May Rise: Cryvengance).
Then we had the idiocy that made our gaming industry look even more puerile with ‘tea bagging’ those whose speech went a little long and..."

"Conspiracy theories are often an exaggeration of the human mind. Adding up one fiction to another, they turn into the plan of a mastermind. However, every now and then, a theory that someone suggests turn out to be true. Human nature, sadly, is based on personal profit, jealousy, deceiving, and domination. "It’s been eight years – eight long, tiring years for some – since we’ve seen the last true Deus Ex game, Invisible War on the original Xbox. "She's somehow eluded them for this long, the odds of locating her are slim to none or so the smoking man seems to think. The others on the conference call seem just as equally discouraged except for one, who speaks that their chance of finding her may actually be feasible in the very near future. No names, disguised voices, the only person on the call are the smoking man. The conspiracy begins here. 10 years ago, we were introduced to the oft-silent terrorist/hero of Deus Ex, JC Denton. What ..."

Or a small group of African primates splitting into three directions giving the planet intelligent humans, barbarous apes, and amorous bonobos. Ga..."

"Eidos Montreal says it's more than aware of fan reaction to controversial second game, Invisible War, and promises mistakes, such as limiting ammo types to just one, won't be repeated.
This said, they are doing their utmost to please newcomers as well as existing fans.
