Four Devil May Cry games have been released so far but there seems to be an overwhelming amount of negative views on the new DmC (I am one of those fans). Therefore reason I am writing this article is to clarify the reason why most of the Devil May Cry fans are against this new game and the many reasons for there negativity.
Devil May Cry HD Collection has been dated for an April 2012 release in both North America and Europe. It will retail for the bargain price of $39.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360.
"Capcom has developed and published many great titles for more than 20 years now. Among these titles are popular fan favorites Street Fighter, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, and many more. This week, Capcom is having a sale for PC games with many titles at least 50% off their listed price."
"In yesterday’s review of Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, I made reference to Deadly Sin #3. Rest assured that this wasn’t something I’d made up for the sake of a joke. I have a personal list of Seven Deadly Game Design Sins, which I’d like to share with you. There is a special level of hell for perpetrators of these sins, and a fitting punishment awaits the developer who commits these crimes against fun."
Daav from NoobFeed.com gathers all the nostalgia available, scattered throughout the decades, to muster up the most glorious games no one will ever see or even remember. Hailing from SNES to PS3, these technological wonders were just not meant to be and that's a shame!
It seems like all of you Devil May Cry fans will get the chance to enjoy your favorite series in HD. Check out the full story for additional information. Cheers!
Capcom has released several new screenshots to go along with an official fact sheet for the upcoming action-adventure game for the iOS, Devil May Cry 4 Refrain.
Amazon has revealed several new contents, including the first Devil May Cry 4 Playstation Network avatar, that will be in the Playstation Store update next week.
"Developers all over town are SLASHING prices this Halloween - you could say that these games are SO CHEAP IT'S SCARY. (Please don't hurt me...) What I'm trying to say here is that Halloween's an excellent time for the cheap or thrifty to grab something new!"
Just in time to prepare for Halloween comes the top 10 video game costumes. These costumes are based on creativity more-so than looks, but there are still a few hot costumes ;)
"The Platinum Hits Triple Pack combines Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition and Devil May Cry 4 in one pack. Each of these games has been re-released in North America as Platinum Hits “Best Seller” status (while Devil May Cry 4 is yet to receive the equivalent “Classics” release in Europe) and together have sold over three million units in the territory alone."
"Anyone a fan of the Devil May Cry series here? *Raises Hand* Well have i got a treat for you. Right now at Newegg.com is a sale on the Xbox360 version Devil May Cry 4 for those of you who haven't picked it up yet."
Capcom is happy to announce Newegg currently has a deal up for the PC version of Devil May Cry 4 -- just $10 and with no shipping costs. (link) Just picked this one up myself, and it runs flawlessly -- can't recommend it enough if you're a fan of DMC, not least because of the PC exclusive features.
Update: Just noticed Prince of Persia is up for $8, also with free shipping! Highly recommend this one, too! (link)
The second wave of PS3 Greatest Hits and Platinum titles have just been released today. These games which are unique in having sold large amounts of copies in a limited time frame are sold for a low price of just $30, combining quality and a good price. Some examples include MGS4 and DMC4 among others, and just about all of these are both the worth the money at their price. The full list is below.
Capcom had planned on revealing two "secret" titles at E3 this year, but it looks like both of those titles may have been leaked already. One of them is Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. And rumor has it, the other secret title will be Devil May Cry 5, and will be coming to PS3, 360 and Wii.
Allison Boyer continues to collect contests with a geek point of view. She hand picks these to make sure you don't need to sign up to anything with a credit card or what not, just basically a name, an email, and a post is just about the most required for these. I'll put some of contests in the quote and Go to source for the links if you feel like entering.

The last article by Jim Sterling I posted here on Grep seemed to have come with mixed response. I now give you something new that I think we can all agree on... the cheapness that comes with some games trying to make you play for more than necessary.
"We may not always have loved every one of his games or his hairstyles, but we wanted to take a moment to tip our hat to Dante, whose Devil May Cry series has reached the milestone of 10 million units shipped."
"One is a pure, bubbly and pretty-as-pink princess who rarely reveals even the skin of her ankle. The other is a sassy, sexy and no-nonsense computer program who has spent her entire existence in the nude. Within the tightly linked and extraordinarily small world of videogame voice acting, however, these two women are the exact same person."
"Since the dawn of time, game players could be categorized as one of two things -- winners or losers. If you perform well, you win a game. If you dont, you lose. Its as simple as that. Lately, however, weve seen a paradigm shift; now we are seeing games you cant lose. Or, more accurately, games that dont have any clear, defined "losing" state. Were used to the tried-and-true "game over" screen, but what if you cant get a game over? Would it still be a game?"
"Just like Project E and its startling similarities to Gears of War, Last Online is pretty much a copy-cat clone of Devil May Cry. In fact, there's a strong possibility that Capcom could buy the code and slap a DMC icon on the logo and call it a DMC MMOG. Until that happens, though, it appears this game is strictly suited for Southeast territories."
"Today, 31st December 2008, is the seventh day of Christmas; which means Electronic Theatre now presents to you the seventh instalment of The Twelve Games of Christmas! A new feature series aiming to highlight some of the greatest achievers of 2008, The Twelve Games of Christmas takes one month worth of disc-based releases each day, from the corresponding month of the year, and delivers the best titles for you to snap-up in those January sales!"
"I played through dozens of games this year and tried at least a hundred more. And through them all, I experienced some amazing moments.
As I have done in years previous, here are my picks for My 10 Favorite Moments in Video Games for 2008. (As spoiler-light as I can make them.)"
"Mandatory installs come from complications developers meet when switching from DVD to Blu-ray. Blu-rays have more space, but they have a different way of reading data that causes longer loading times when given exactly the same data DVDs use. Installs fix the problem, at a cost, but alternative methods are being devised. Fallout 3 has enough space on the Blu-ray disc to copy the game's assets over more than once on the disc, which reduces load times significantly. This kind of innovation is n..."
Capcom shocked many when they announced that Devil May Cry 4 would be going multiplatform, and the clear reason behind it was money. The Playstation 3 at that point simply hadn't sold enough for them to make much money, and releasing it on the XBOX360 allowed them to reach a wider range of audience. However it seems they're finally seeing the Playstation 3 as 'having reached full swing' and that too, thanks to MGS4.
GameInformer, the popular magazine about all things gaming that has somewhere near three million subscribers, always has a different game on the cover each time. MTV wanted to see if there was a GI cover curse, so they looked back into the past and pulled out magazines from 2-3 years ago.
One game titled Superman Returns didn't so well, receiving 6/10's. That's nothing compared to Fear and Respect, which was at one point on a GI cover, but ended up being canceled!
All in all, the game...
1up brings us several classic characters recreated using the Soul Calibur 4 character creation mode. From He-Man, Lion-O, even down to Bruce Lee and Raiden, you will certainly be able to recognize some of these familiar faces.
Even Ronald McDonald makes an appearance, along side popular gaming favorites such as Mario, Phoenix Wright, Dante, and Auron and Tidus from FFX!
Be sure to check out all the images and videos in the link (as I could only attach 5 to the article)
Everyone (Sony fans, and Final Fantasy fans) seem to be clamoring about FFXIII not being PS3 exclusive. This isn't the first time this has happened ladies and gentlemen. Lest you forget that VII (arguably one of the best in the series) was originally intended for the N64?
GamesRadar goes through a list of 10 more titles that brought out a similar reaction with fans.
A slim but good week for younger and older folks alike this time 'round. PC gamers get Devil May Cry 4, console owners get Civilization Revolution on everything but the Wii (it's already doing very well in reviews), and more youthful gamers should appreciate Wonder World Amusement Park and Carnival Games, while Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon is anticipated to be enjoyed by all.
On a related note, Devil May Cry is set to pop up on the PSP at some point in the future.
"Videogame characters are lazy, forgetful, or just plain stupid. Cutscene after cutscene, they exhibit planet-shaking combat abilities and a level of indestructibility which would make God himself jealous. But as soon as you pick up the controller? The Incredible Hulk turns back into Bruce Banner and all of those showboating tricks and superhuman powers disappear into the ether.
They're constantly saving their best tricks until we've already done all the hard work for them, and even if not,..."

Fileshack posted a demo for the PC version of Devil May Cry 4 today, which you can download through the alternate source. The download weighs in at 804.05 MB. Registration is required over at Fileshack (sad), but I'm sure it's worth the trouble if you're a DMC fan with a honkin' PC.
There's a benchmark tool which you can use to see if your system can run the game, but it's 483.62 MB in itself! So, here are the unofficial requirements:

For all you people who are unfamiliar with Tomonobu Itagaki, he's the guy in charge of the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series. He is also a man well known for his big ego and blunt, to-the-point (and sometimes controversial) attitude regarding 'rival' games and their companies.
At a recent press event, Itagaki talked about his newest game Ninja Gaiden II ... and how he thinks it compares to Devil May Cry 4.

Some awesome new screenshots for Devil May Cry 4 being benchmarked on a Q6600 2.4GHz, 8800GTX system with the resolution set to 1920x1080 in DirectX 9 mode, which delivers a very good quality that will leave you wanting more.
A lot more of these awesome screenshots are at the source.
"This latest version of the game will feature "Legendary Dark Knight Mode," which will apparently let you control Batman (not really) along with enhanced visualization options.
Capcom announced today details for the PC version of Devil May Cry 4. There will be a demo of the game released before the full game becomes available in Summer 2008. Devil May Cry 4 is already a hit on consoles, having shipped over 2 million copies worldwide."
"It's easy to forget that back when Devil May Cry 4 was announced, fans of the series were quick to trumpet it as a potentially system-selling classic and an exclusive feather in Sony's PS3 cap. Times change however, and as we all know Dante and Nero also made their grandstanding way over to Microsoft's Xbox 360, in due course selling more than 2 million copies and becoming a certified hit on both consoles in the process."
Xbox likes to go traditionally with "Play and Win". However, they're mixing it up a bit with what they call "Achieve and Win". This event is for the upcoming movie "The Forbidden Kingdom". To participate, you have to unlock one achievement (any achievement) in Devil May Cry 4 between April 11th and April 13th. Of course, you must sign up first. Then, a thousand (or more!) MS points will be awarded to randomly selected winners who signed up and completed their task. Hey, sounds easy enough to ...
Whilst the title of the article says The cold, hard truth, I honestly can't believe it's the truth, someone's opinion yes, but no the truth; don't get me wrong, it could very well be correct, however I can guarantee that not everyone will see eye to eye with his views, and in some cases his experiance will vary to that of others, thus making his truth nothing more than his version of how he found the games, however that doesn't make this article any less of an interesting read, especially for...
Devil May Cry 4's recent release has naturally come with quite a few advertisements. But what sort of advertisement do you use to attract the general male audience to the series? Don't show any details or screenshots of the actual game - Oh no, that won't do it. Instead use sexy scantily-clad models dressed (barely) as Nero to promote DMC4, because that's never been done before.
But "Front" magazine believes that their tactic will get men interested.
Wonder what those men will think when t...

With the help of the PS3 and 360 version of Devil May Cry 4, it has reached 2 million copies sold worldwide. This also brings the Devil May Cry franchise at a 9 million units sold globally. And this is one of the best selling Franchises Capcom has ever made.
Congratulations Capcom and Devil May Cry. An incredible feat indeed, and expect sales to further increase when the PC version is released.
"4. Dante and Trish - Devil May Cry Series (PS2)
If the best girl a man can find is one that reminds him of his mother, then Dante has certainly hit the jackpot. Created by the demon lord Mundus during the first game to resemble the devil hunter's mother Eva, Trish wound up developing feelings for Dante, helping him to defeat Mundus and ending up as his partner. While the fact that her feelings stem from being made in his mother's image is kind of creepy if you stop and think about it, there'..."
As previously reported, Devil May Cry 4 takes around 20minutes to download and installs 5GB to the Harddrive. Well the benefits of it seem only to be load times right? Well not exactly, yes that is a benefit, however another benefit is the fact that the installation of the game also means less noise and limits wear and tear on your Blu-Ray drive.
The article at the source delves into the nitty-gritty parts of installing to your harddrive like the PS3, vs running from the disc like the XBOX...
"TVGB writes: "Capcom just sent over an email message letting us know that since its release on January 24, the Devil May Cry 4 Xbox 360 demo has been downloaded over one million times, averaging at over 25,000 downloads a day.""
Two major juggernauts have finally been released in the land of the rising sun: Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Devil May Cry 4. The clear victor? Brawl. Also, seven of the top ten are new releases.
As such, the top seller this week is Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii, selling 820k copies. Second is the PS3 version of Devil May Cry 4, selling 205k copies. Rounding out the top five are Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut (PS2 - 117k), Haruhi Suzumiya's Wonderment (PS2 - 114k) and Wii Fit (...
Want games that haven't been released yet? Well you can... but only for a limited time, and specifically games releasing on the 8th Feb in the UK. Well shopto.com are doing just this, and included in this offer are games such as Turok, Conflict: Denied Ops and Devil May Cry 4 (XBOX360 version only). So if you can't wait those extra few days, order now and get the games.
Yesterday an article surfaced on the Internet stating that the Playstation 3 version of Devil May Cry 4 will force you to sit through a 20 minute installation the first time the disc is inserted. Capcom today responds jokingly to the situation saying that it's true you have to wait 20 or more minutes the first time you insert the game in your PS3, but it's not like we're forcing you to constantly click 'yes' to various Windows dialog boxes.
The installation is to make the game run smoothe...
Could a link between Playstation Home and Devil May Cry have been found? Well ps3fanboy certainly think so. Whilst playing the game for a while, they've managed to unlock various Achievements on the Playstation 3 version of the game, and after unlocking these achievements the messages that appear aren't one that's internally (in the game) but one that's similar to the "Network Connection Screen".
Could this eventually be turned into "Trophies" for PS Home when it's released? Or could it s...
That's right, a spoiler filled video has been leaked and it's in English. Showing part of the story line, and the aftermath of a boss fight.... I wont spoil it any further, but let you judge the game via the video. Also on another note it seems that DMC4 is only running on 640p - that's right not in HD at all - both on the PS3 AND the XBOX360
It's quite unfortunate when you have a game, put it into your console in the hopes of start playing immediately, when you realise that to play the game you have to wait another 20 minutes. In the grand scheme of things, another 20 minutes for someone isn't much considering how long they waited for the game to be released in the first place, however to everyone that has gotten a much awaited game, after it's in their hands, it's not just the minutes, but every second you don't play the game th...
Many have wandered what Devil May Cry 4 will be like on the XBOX360, and how well it will sell. Well regardless of how good it is, it certainly isn't doing well as it's PS3 counterpart - atleast in Japan anyway. Whilst the PS3 version has sold 140,000 copies in Japan, the XBOX360 version only managed sell a megre 30,000 copies, meaning a 5:1 sell rate for the PS3:XBOX360.
How closely these ratios will match to their US/UK numbers is yet to be seen, but with more XBOX360's than PS3's things...
We're getting back into full swing as February starts, as games that were slated to come out now are backed up with games that were delayed from the holiday season.
Notable games this week:
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles (NDS)
Culdcept Saga (360)
Devil May Cry 4 (360, PS3)
Nobunaga's Ambition: Rise to Power (PS2)
Turok (360, PS3)
Twisted Metal: Head On (PS2)
It's not a really interesting week this time around, with this week being the week before two big games come out in Japan. As such, there is also a healthy mix of games in this top fifty that is also reflected in the top ten.
The top selling game this go around is the crtically-acclaimed nongame Wii Fit, selling 89k copies. Coming in second is World Soccer Winning Eleven: Ubiquitous Evolution 2008 for the PSP, selling 77k copies. Rounding out the top five are Lucky Star: Misasagi Sakura...
"The North American release of the Devil May Cry anime series may have been canceled by publisher ADV Films, according to a recent report from ICv2. The report, which indicates a broad number of domestic cancellations on ADV's part, including the Devil May Cry series, has since been pulled from the site, but is still available via Google Cache. Despite being announced in December for a February 5 release, absolutely no references to Devil May Cry currently exist on ADV Films' web site."
"This weeks new content update sees the likes of PixelJunk Monsters and Jet Moto arriving as full downloadable games in the US, while Capcom fans over the pond also finally get to enjoy a little one-on-one time with the action-friendly Devil May Cry 4 demo.
Over in Europeland, downloadable games Syphon Filter: Combat Ops and Judge Dredd(?) are available, while demos arriving alongside Devil May Cry 4 include SEGA Rally Revo and PixelJunk Monsters hopefully the full game wont be too far ..."
Alright all Devil May Cry fans are in for a treat because I'm about to summarise the most important points of this actual review. This review is one of the first English reviews to surface the Internet, anyway let's talk business here.
Game Reviews Blog were kind enough to post a Devil May Cry 4 review and share it with everyone on the Internet. The review talks about almost everything that you need to know. The review is also spoiler free, so it's alright to visit the source without feari...
A video allowing the viewer to see which version of Devil May Cry 4 is superior on which console. The Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3? Capcom's objective is to make both versions identical and so this video also proves if they have accomplished their objective or not. Devil May Cry was always a Playstation game but that doesn't mean the Playstation will reign supreme but that doesn't also mean the 360 will do neither.
This video will be showcasing gameplay and cutscenes from the game. As bot...
The announcement of the Devil May Cry 4 Collector's Edition apparently had mixed responses, with many fans believing that the DMC4 game, four DMC anime episodes, a making-of DVD, and a Steelbook case wasn't worth paying $80 for. Well Capcom listened to the fans and decided to add a "special something" to certain games.
One hundred Devil May Cry 4 Collector's Edition games are going to be personally signed by the game's producer, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, to entice gamers into buying the CE versio...
"Here are new images of Devil May Cry 4 presented in the forms of artworks: Pandora Box and Silver Giga.
The Capcom title will arrive on January 31, 2008 at Japan. And approximately a week later on our premises, (February 8), for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3."
The first review is out for the highly anticipated Devil May Cry 4 from Capcom, and the overall score the game received was a 85/100. However, since objective scoring is by far one of the most useless parts of the review, let's pay attention to what they said. Granted, it's from a German GamePro, so we can settle for just looking through the bullet points, unless someone wants to take a crack at the article/review, and all ten pages of it (All scans provided at source).
The full breakdow...
The main theme song for Devil May Cry 4 has finally been revealed.
The song (entitled "Drink It Down") is performed by popular Japanese rock band, L'arc En Ciel, and will be featured during the game's opening.
[Discuss in the Devil May Cry 4 forum]
A few members of the NeoGAF forums were able to get hold of the latest copy of Famitsu magazine and learned a couple of exciting details about the PlayStation 3 version of Devil May Cry 4 (also on Xbox 360 and PC).
Despite that, it seems that DMC 4 PS3 is given enough attention especially with these features:
* HDD install is 4900MB (4.9GB).
* Save files are 3392KB.
* Some variety of PSN support.
* 5.1 LPCM audio.
Well its interesting to see why we have to use that...
"PlayStation 3 isn't the only system getting some bundle love from Capcom. Microsoft Japan announced today the Xbox 360 Devil May Cry 4 Premium Pack, a hardware bundle that combines the 360 with the latest installment of Capcom's dramatic action hack-n-slasher.
The Japan-only bundle includes a Xbox 360 Standard Model, which is the Japanese version of America's Premium Pack, complete with a 20 gigabyte hard disk, wireless controller, media remote, HD AV cables and LAN cable. All hardware uni..."
Are you a Devil May Cry fan who doesn't yet own a PS3? Well you'll be happy to know that Devil May Cry 4 will soon be availible in a bundle pack that not only includes the game - but also includes a brand spankin' new Playstation 3 too!
However it is unknown whether this bundle will be released internationally.
Devil May Cry 4 is set for release next February.
The year is quickly ending, but that doesn't mean we could pass up a chance to see the latest trailer for Devil May Cry 4. This trailer shows all of the characters we know so far (even if some are only for a few seconds) and will be the last trailer for the game for the year.
If the trailer has you wanting more, well, we can't help you there. We have to wait for it ourselves. At the least we can look forward to the demo early next year. Devil May Cry 4 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) will be out by Fe...
One important point that Mr. Kobayashi discussed involved Nero and Dante. According to Kobayashi, Capcom really wanted to have a scenario for Devil May Cry 4 that involved both a succession and a fresh start, hence the senior-junior relationship between Dante and Nero. Interestingly, Kobayashi and the rest of the Devil May Cry 4 development team at Capcom drew from various sources of inspiration for the "old hero, new hero" scenario - among them the Dragon Ball and Gundam series.
Capcom's Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer of many titles from the Japanese video game company who's currently working on Devil May Cry 4, shared a few things about going cross-platform and the technology that allows the developer to do so. In an interview, he talked about Capcom's ticket to next-gen development, which is the MT (multi-target) Framework.
According to Kobayashi, the team behind Devil May Cry 4 began working on the game before Sony finalized specs of the PlayStation 3. Thanks to ...
"With this year's gaming harvest already played and beaten and filed away into memory like so many saves, it is time now to look on.
Past the bulbous shores of 2007, far off in the distant recesses of release schedules, lies the gone-golden bounty of untapped potential. And while many may slip their surly bonds and give flight to the year 2009, more still will cement their crusted plastic into delighted hands. Here we mark the prophecy of the PC legacy, a concrete, yet tumultuous hour of re..."
A recent interview with DMC4 games producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi to talk about the game. It seems the reason for Nero being the new protagonist on DMC4, was not only to benefit new players but Xbox players as well.
Since its the first DMC title to be on an xbox.
He also states with the power of the new systems they can have much larger areas to play in, much broader fields to play in, and the most obvious beautiful stages for the game to take place in.
With new characters he says there...
"Long ago the Dark Knight Sparda awoke to justice and rebelled against the dark emperor, to wage a one-man war to save humanity. Thousands of years later, a religious organization worships this renowned savior and has taken it upon themselves to rid the world of all demons. Residing in Fortuna, a castle city on the coast, this Order of the Sword has an elite group of Holy Knights dedicated to carrying out this very creed. Rising among the ranks, a young cynical warrior named Nero witnesses..."
"Japanese developer and publisher Capcom has stepped forth today to inform fans that a free playable downloadable game demo will hit the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live in early 2008."
Yet more Devil May Cry 4 screens have surfaced, showing an intense battle between anti-hero Dante and a new lightning-based enemy called "Blitz".
The new characters Nero and Kyrie also make an appearance in some of the new screens.

Devil May Cry 4 is one of Capcom's big games, and lot of people love this series. So what better way to give the fans more then just a the game? What about a Collectors Edition with extra features. And thats just what Capcom will be doing. They will be releasing a collectors edition that will feature: Volume 1 of ADV Films Devil May Cry: The Animated Series on DVD, including four complete episodes of the anime (a retail value of $29.99), unique Steelbook metal case, bonus DVD, making of Dev...
"Capcom have announced that Devil May Cry 4 will be released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in February 2008.
The highly anticipated Devil May Cry 4 immerses gamers in a gothic supernatural world, where a new protagonist clashes with series mainstay Dante. As new leading man Nero players will be able to unleash incredibly powerful and stylish attacks and non-stop combos using a combination of the Devil Bringer arm and the Exceed system, both of which are new gameplay mechanics for the s..."
In the recent Famitsu issue here are the top 20 games most wanted from Japan's biggest games magazine. It's a really interesting list as what dominates the list in being No.1 is Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS and then followed by Final Fantasy XIII which was at No.1. Third place comes the highly anticipated Resident Evil 5. A list containing top notch games. Too bad only one game from 360 makes it.
"Capcom has released some delicious new Devil May Cry 4 screenshots featuring Lady and Trish. A little teaser above, check the rest out in our Devil May Cry 4 gallery."
With the opening of the Tokyo Game Show on the horizon, Capcom have started bringing out the big-guns. In the recent pre-TGS issue of Famitsu magazine, two familiar faces have been confirmed for Devil May Cry 4 ... Lady and Trish!
Their current role in the game is unknown, though they both still appear to be rooting for the "good" side.
"Capcom has put out a fresh batch of piping hot box art for us to judge, including highly anticipated games such as Devil May Cry 4, Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure and Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law. Obviously, you can see Nero sporting his fancypants glowstick hand above, but the rest of box art fun continues after the break."
"Dante's about to make his debut into the next-generation of consoles, and if this trailer is anything to go by, he's going to do it in style!
The below trailer, show at GC 2007, offers a collection of cinematic footage from the game, showing off the usual array of over-the-top fighting and styles that we've come to know and love."
"Capcom has announced that next week's Leipzig Games Convention will mark the global debut of Devil May Cry for the Microsoft Xbox 360. The event will also be used to showcase the PlayStation 3 version.
Visitors to the event in Germany will be able to play as Nero, the new character in what is the franchise's second sequel (Devil May Cry 3 being a prequel of course). Gamers favourite Dante has been shifted aside to make room for the new silver-haired protagonist and his "Devil Bringer" pow..."
A lot of people believe that the PS3 is hard machine to develop for and that is the reason for many games not coming out for the console, or leaving to another console. Capcoms Hiroyuki Kobayashi said that the PS3 wasn't really hard, rather it was easy to work with it. The reason for them going multiplatform is because they wanted more poeple to play there games... or more people to buy there games.
"Day one of Comic-Con is never actually a full day. Each year, show organizers in San Diego open the doors for three hours the night before everything officially starts. That means you can find empty and partially-built booths mixed amongst fans and fully-functioning booths. We spent the time tracking down this year's game-related stuff on display.
Given the timing of this year's show (with E3 just a few weeks earlier), many publishers at Comic-Con decided to show the same versions of the g..."

One of the most anticipated games that have yet to be released, the now multi-platform Devil May Cry 4 is one of the most awesome games to expect in the near future. Especially now that Nero instead of Dante is going to head the battles, it will be one of the interesting leaps Capcom is going to make for its vastly popular title.
DMC4 Trailer
"We all know how popular the Devil May Cry series is, but no installment had to face the competition the fourth DMC will face this fall. Still, that hasn't stopped Capcom from thinking optimistically...very optimistically.
During Capcom's 2007 Fiscal Year results meeting, Director and Managing Corporate Officer, Kazuhiko Abe, predicted that Devil May Cry 4 will sell 1.8 million copies worldwide. Now, that's a big number. How big? Well, they expect the recently released Resident Evil 4 for t..."

Devil May Cry 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi has spoken out about his decision to make the former PS3 exclusive a mutliplatform. Kobayashi stated that "It's extremely easy to have a mutliplatform using the Framework engine". He went on to say that the content on all both platforms will be the same, and he prefers to avoid arguments about "which one is better". Kobayashi Seems like one of the few people who prefers to avoid the "console wars".
Six months ago we heard details about Nero, the new lead role in Devil May Cry, and now we know even more details. I'm sorry to say that Ebony and Ivory won't be returning, but instead, Nero has a double barreled pistol, Blue Rose, and a powerful sword, Red Queen. Also, he can use his right arm as a weapon, which is called the Devil Bringer. It looks as though the amazing gameplay and battle system stayed the same (with the exception of the new weapons of course =)). If you want more deta...
You saw the vids, now get the screens. Impress Game Watch has posted a whole truckload of DMC4 screenshots, many which feature Dante when playable.
Gametrailers have a new set of videos available for the upcoming PS3 and Xbox 360 title, Devil May Cry 4. In this video we can see the character Nero approach a frozen ruined castle, as he approaches he is attacked by some Ice creatures and in game footage of him fighting the beasts is shown, looks very promising and seems to follow a similar play style of the 3rd game in the series. There are several other impressive looking videos so check out the source for those.
"Deeko found the video and Evil Avatar has the nice quality pictures to go along with it. We've seen the fiery demon boss at Tokyo Game Show 06 briefly before, but this five minute video has extended footage of everything only glimpsed at in the past. You'll get a longer look at several levels and their enemies, a few frosty bosses, and even the intro to this awesome fire boss. Right before the video ends you see a few attacks hinting at the strategy you'll need to defeat him, and the graphics..."
