Devil May Cry HD Collection has been dated for an April 2012 release in both North America and Europe. It will retail for the bargain price of $39.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360.

"Capcom has developed and published many great titles for more than 20 years now. Among these titles are popular fan favorites Street Fighter, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, and many more. This week, Capcom is having a sale for PC games with many titles at least 50% off their listed price."

Capcom has released several new screenshots to go along with an official fact sheet for the upcoming action-adventure game for the iOS, Devil May Cry 4 Refrain.

Amazon has revealed several new contents, including the first Devil May Cry 4 Playstation Network avatar, that will be in the Playstation Store update next week.

"Developers all over town are SLASHING prices this Halloween - you could say that these games are SO CHEAP IT'S SCARY. (Please don't hurt me...) What I'm trying to say here is that Halloween's an excellent time for the cheap or thrifty to grab something new!"

"The Platinum Hits Triple Pack combines Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition and Devil May Cry 4 in one pack. Each of these games has been re-released in North America as Platinum Hits “Best Seller” status (while Devil May Cry 4 is yet to receive the equivalent “Classics” release in Europe) and together have sold over three million units in the territory alone."

"Anyone a fan of the Devil May Cry series here? *Raises Hand* Well have i got a treat for you. Right now at Newegg.com is a sale on the Xbox360 version Devil May Cry 4 for those of you who haven't picked it up yet."

Capcom is happy to announce Newegg currently has a deal up for the PC version of Devil May Cry 4 -- just $10 and with no shipping costs. (link) Just picked this one up myself, and it runs flawlessly -- can't recommend it enough if you're a fan of DMC, not least because of the PC exclusive features.

Update: Just noticed Prince of Persia is up for $8, also with free shipping! Highly recommend this one, too! (link)

The second wave of PS3 Greatest Hits and Platinum titles have just been released today. These games which are unique in having sold large amounts of copies in a limited time frame are sold for a low price of just $30, combining quality and a good price. Some examples include MGS4 and DMC4 among others, and just about all of these are both the worth the money at their price. The full list is below.

"We may not always have loved every one of his games or his hairstyles, but we wanted to take a moment to tip our hat to Dante, whose Devil May Cry series has reached the milestone of 10 million units shipped."

"Today, 31st December 2008, is the seventh day of Christmas; which means Electronic Theatre now presents to you the seventh instalment of The Twelve Games of Christmas! A new feature series aiming to highlight some of the greatest achievers of 2008, The Twelve Games of Christmas takes one month worth of disc-based releases each day, from the corresponding month of the year, and delivers the best titles for you to snap-up in those January sales!"

A slim but good week for younger and older folks alike this time 'round. PC gamers get Devil May Cry 4, console owners get Civilization Revolution on everything but the Wii (it's already doing very well in reviews), and more youthful gamers should appreciate Wonder World Amusement Park and Carnival Games, while Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon is anticipated to be enjoyed by all.

On a related note, Devil May Cry is set to pop up on the PSP at some point in the future.

This segment (posted every Friday) is for the busy IGN reader who always clicks on the last page of a review to read the overall comments. If you're one of the aforementioned readers, you've probably already stopped reading this, so without further ado:

For all you people who are unfamiliar with Tomonobu Itagaki, he's the guy in charge of the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series. He is also a man well known for his big ego and blunt, to-the-point (and sometimes controversial) attitude regarding 'rival' games and their companies.

At a recent press event, Itagaki talked about his newest game Ninja Gaiden II ... and how he thinks it compares to Devil May Cry 4.

"This latest version of the game will feature "Legendary Dark Knight Mode," which will apparently let you control Batman (not really) along with enhanced visualization options.

Capcom announced today details for the PC version of Devil May Cry 4. There will be a demo of the game released before the full game becomes available in Summer 2008. Devil May Cry 4 is already a hit on consoles, having shipped over 2 million copies worldwide."

"It's easy to forget that back when Devil May Cry 4 was announced, fans of the series were quick to trumpet it as a potentially system-selling classic and an exclusive feather in Sony's PS3 cap. Times change however, and as we all know Dante and Nero also made their grandstanding way over to Microsoft's Xbox 360, in due course selling more than 2 million copies and becoming a certified hit on both consoles in the process."

Xbox likes to go traditionally with "Play and Win". However, they're mixing it up a bit with what they call "Achieve and Win". This event is for the upcoming movie "The Forbidden Kingdom". To participate, you have to unlock one achievement (any achievement) in Devil May Cry 4 between April 11th and April 13th. Of course, you must sign up first. Then, a thousand (or more!) MS points will be awarded to randomly selected winners who signed up and completed their task. Hey, sounds easy enough to ...

Whilst the title of the article says The cold, hard truth, I honestly can't believe it's the truth, someone's opinion yes, but no the truth; don't get me wrong, it could very well be correct, however I can guarantee that not everyone will see eye to eye with his views, and in some cases his experiance will vary to that of others, thus making his truth nothing more than his version of how he found the games, however that doesn't make this article any less of an interesting read, especially for...

With the help of the PS3 and 360 version of Devil May Cry 4, it has reached 2 million copies sold worldwide. This also brings the Devil May Cry franchise at a 9 million units sold globally. And this is one of the best selling Franchises Capcom has ever made.

Congratulations Capcom and Devil May Cry. An incredible feat indeed, and expect sales to further increase when the PC version is released.

"4. Dante and Trish - Devil May Cry Series (PS2)
If the best girl a man can find is one that reminds him of his mother, then Dante has certainly hit the jackpot. Created by the demon lord Mundus during the first game to resemble the devil hunter's mother Eva, Trish wound up developing feelings for Dante, helping him to defeat Mundus and ending up as his partner. While the fact that her feelings stem from being made in his mother's image is kind of creepy if you stop and think about it, there'..."

Yesterday an article surfaced on the Internet stating that the Playstation 3 version of Devil May Cry 4 will force you to sit through a 20 minute installation the first time the disc is inserted. Capcom today responds jokingly to the situation saying that it's true you have to wait 20 or more minutes the first time you insert the game in your PS3, but it's not like we're forcing you to constantly click 'yes' to various Windows dialog boxes.

The installation is to make the game run smoothe...

Could a link between Playstation Home and Devil May Cry have been found? Well ps3fanboy certainly think so. Whilst playing the game for a while, they've managed to unlock various Achievements on the Playstation 3 version of the game, and after unlocking these achievements the messages that appear aren't one that's internally (in the game) but one that's similar to the "Network Connection Screen".

Could this eventually be turned into "Trophies" for PS Home when it's released? Or could it s...

It's quite unfortunate when you have a game, put it into your console in the hopes of start playing immediately, when you realise that to play the game you have to wait another 20 minutes. In the grand scheme of things, another 20 minutes for someone isn't much considering how long they waited for the game to be released in the first place, however to everyone that has gotten a much awaited game, after it's in their hands, it's not just the minutes, but every second you don't play the game th...

Many have wandered what Devil May Cry 4 will be like on the XBOX360, and how well it will sell. Well regardless of how good it is, it certainly isn't doing well as it's PS3 counterpart - atleast in Japan anyway. Whilst the PS3 version has sold 140,000 copies in Japan, the XBOX360 version only managed sell a megre 30,000 copies, meaning a 5:1 sell rate for the PS3:XBOX360.

How closely these ratios will match to their US/UK numbers is yet to be seen, but with more XBOX360's than PS3's things...

We're getting back into full swing as February starts, as games that were slated to come out now are backed up with games that were delayed from the holiday season.

Culdcept Saga (360)
Devil May Cry 4 (360, PS3)
Nobunaga's Ambition: Rise to Power (PS2)

"This week’s new content update sees the likes of PixelJunk Monsters and Jet Moto arriving as full downloadable games in the US, while Capcom fans over the pond also finally get to enjoy a little one-on-one time with the action-friendly Devil May Cry 4 demo.

Over in Europeland, downloadable games Syphon Filter: Combat Ops and Judge Dredd(?) are available, while demos arriving alongside Devil May Cry 4 include SEGA Rally Revo and PixelJunk Monsters – hopefully the full game won’t be too far ..."

The announcement of the Devil May Cry 4 Collector's Edition apparently had mixed responses, with many fans believing that the DMC4 game, four DMC anime episodes, a making-of DVD, and a Steelbook case wasn't worth paying $80 for. Well Capcom listened to the fans and decided to add a "special something" to certain games.
One hundred Devil May Cry 4 Collector's Edition games are going to be personally signed by the game's producer, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, to entice gamers into buying the CE versio...

A few members of the NeoGAF forums were able to get hold of the latest copy of Famitsu magazine and learned a couple of exciting details about the PlayStation 3 version of Devil May Cry 4 (also on Xbox 360 and PC).

Despite that, it seems that DMC 4 PS3 is given enough attention especially with these features:

* HDD install is 4900MB (4.9GB).
* Save files are 3392KB.
* Some variety of PSN support.
* 5.1 LPCM audio.

Well its interesting to see why we have to use that...

"PlayStation 3 isn't the only system getting some bundle love from Capcom. Microsoft Japan announced today the Xbox 360 Devil May Cry 4 Premium Pack, a hardware bundle that combines the 360 with the latest installment of Capcom's dramatic action hack-n-slasher.

The Japan-only bundle includes a Xbox 360 Standard Model, which is the Japanese version of America's Premium Pack, complete with a 20 gigabyte hard disk, wireless controller, media remote, HD AV cables and LAN cable. All hardware uni..."

Are you a Devil May Cry fan who doesn't yet own a PS3? Well you'll be happy to know that Devil May Cry 4 will soon be availible in a bundle pack that not only includes the game - but also includes a brand spankin' new Playstation 3 too!

However it is unknown whether this bundle will be released internationally.

Devil May Cry 4 is set for release next February.

One important point that Mr. Kobayashi discussed involved Nero and Dante. According to Kobayashi, Capcom really wanted to have a scenario for Devil May Cry 4 that involved both a succession and a fresh start, hence the senior-junior relationship between Dante and Nero. Interestingly, Kobayashi and the rest of the Devil May Cry 4 development team at Capcom drew from various sources of inspiration for the "old hero, new hero" scenario - among them the Dragon Ball and Gundam series.

Capcom's Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer of many titles from the Japanese video game company who's currently working on Devil May Cry 4, shared a few things about going cross-platform and the technology that allows the developer to do so. In an interview, he talked about Capcom's ticket to next-gen development, which is the MT (multi-target) Framework.

According to Kobayashi, the team behind Devil May Cry 4 began working on the game before Sony finalized specs of the PlayStation 3. Thanks to ...

A recent interview with DMC4 game’s producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi to talk about the game. It seems the reason for Nero being the new protagonist on DMC4, was not only to benefit new players but Xbox players as well.
Since its the first DMC title to be on an xbox.
He also states with the power of the new systems they can have much larger areas to play in, much broader fields to play in, and the most obvious beautiful stages for the game to take place in.

With new characters he says there...

Devil May Cry 4 is one of Capcom's big games, and lot of people love this series. So what better way to give the fans more then just a the game? What about a Collectors Edition with extra features. And thats just what Capcom will be doing. They will be releasing a collectors edition that will feature: Volume 1 of ADV Film’s Devil May Cry: The Animated Series on DVD, including four complete episodes of the anime (a retail value of $29.99), unique Steelbook™ metal case, bonus DVD, making of Dev...

"Capcom have announced that Devil May Cry 4 will be released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in February 2008.

The highly anticipated Devil May Cry 4 immerses gamers in a gothic supernatural world, where a new protagonist clashes with series mainstay Dante. As new leading man Nero players will be able to unleash incredibly powerful and stylish attacks and non-stop combos using a combination of the Devil Bringer arm and the Exceed system, both of which are new gameplay mechanics for the s..."

In the recent Famitsu issue here are the top 20 games most wanted from Japan's biggest games magazine. It's a really interesting list as what dominates the list in being No.1 is Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS and then followed by Final Fantasy XIII which was at No.1. Third place comes the highly anticipated Resident Evil 5. A list containing top notch games. Too bad only one game from 360 makes it.

With the opening of the Tokyo Game Show on the horizon, Capcom have started bringing out the big-guns. In the recent pre-TGS issue of Famitsu magazine, two familiar faces have been confirmed for Devil May Cry 4 ... Lady and Trish!

Their current role in the game is unknown, though they both still appear to be rooting for the "good" side.

"Capcom has put out a fresh batch of piping hot box art for us to judge, including highly anticipated games such as Devil May Cry 4, Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure and Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law. Obviously, you can see Nero sporting his fancypants glowstick hand above, but the rest of box art fun continues after the break."

"Capcom has announced that next week's Leipzig Games Convention will mark the global debut of Devil May Cry for the Microsoft Xbox 360. The event will also be used to showcase the PlayStation 3 version.

Visitors to the event in Germany will be able to play as Nero, the new character in what is the franchise's second sequel (Devil May Cry 3 being a prequel of course). Gamers’ favourite Dante has been shifted aside to make room for the new silver-haired protagonist and his "Devil Bringer" pow..."

A lot of people believe that the PS3 is hard machine to develop for and that is the reason for many games not coming out for the console, or leaving to another console. Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi said that the PS3 wasn't really hard, rather it was easy to work with it. The reason for them going multiplatform is because they wanted more poeple to play there games... or more people to buy there games.

"Day one of Comic-Con is never actually a full day. Each year, show organizers in San Diego open the doors for three hours the night before everything officially starts. That means you can find empty and partially-built booths mixed amongst fans and fully-functioning booths. We spent the time tracking down this year's game-related stuff on display.

Given the timing of this year's show (with E3 just a few weeks earlier), many publishers at Comic-Con decided to show the same versions of the g..."

Keiji "the Killa" head of game development at Capcom explains to everyone why Devil May Cry 4 is no longer a Playstation 3 exclusive. It's got nothing to do with money according to the article, but Capcom one of the most successful gaming company's just found a method of creating games on more than just one console simultaneously.

Keiji also comments on why most publishers are now happy with how the E3 is, but that's not all he also talks about other games being developed by Capcom.

With some Screenshots that were revealed showed off some new Characters for the Devil May cry franshise. Two are men that go by the name of Agnus and Credo. While the girl goes by the name of Gloria.

"We all know how popular the Devil May Cry series is, but no installment had to face the competition the fourth DMC will face this fall. Still, that hasn't stopped Capcom from thinking optimistically...very optimistically.

During Capcom's 2007 Fiscal Year results meeting, Director and Managing Corporate Officer, Kazuhiko Abe, predicted that Devil May Cry 4 will sell 1.8 million copies worldwide. Now, that's a big number. How big? Well, they expect the recently released Resident Evil 4 for t..."

"1. Dante is not just an unlockable character.
2. Dante won’t be the only returning Devil May Cry character.
3. Nero won’t be getting new weapons
4. The Devil Trigger could return
5.DMC4 will be universally the same difficulty
6. Devil May Cry 4 will be identical on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
7. Sixaxis Am Cry
“There are currently no plans to support the Sixaxis controller” Kobayashi states.
8. No online multiplayer
9. No New Devil May Cry Demo At E3"

Devil May Cry 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi has spoken out about his decision to make the former PS3 exclusive a mutliplatform. Kobayashi stated that "It's extremely easy to have a mutliplatform using the Framework engine". He went on to say that the content on all both platforms will be the same, and he prefers to avoid arguments about "which one is better". Kobayashi Seems like one of the few people who prefers to avoid the "console wars".

Six months ago we heard details about Nero, the new lead role in Devil May Cry, and now we know even more details. I'm sorry to say that Ebony and Ivory won't be returning, but instead, Nero has a double barreled pistol, Blue Rose, and a powerful sword, Red Queen. Also, he can use his right arm as a weapon, which is called the Devil Bringer. It looks as though the amazing gameplay and battle system stayed the same (with the exception of the new weapons of course =)). If you want more deta...

Gametrailers have a new set of videos available for the upcoming PS3 and Xbox 360 title, Devil May Cry 4. In this video we can see the character Nero approach a frozen ruined castle, as he approaches he is attacked by some Ice creatures and in game footage of him fighting the beasts is shown, looks very promising and seems to follow a similar play style of the 3rd game in the series. There are several other impressive looking videos so check out the source for those.
