"Games are getting remade all the time. Some people love it and some people hate it. Nevertheless, companies will remake classics as they see fit and here are a few that could use some of the remake treatment for today's standards."
"Double Dragon is a Legendary franchise born in the Arcade and on the Nintendo NES that became a cornerstone for the entire 'beat-em-up' genre. Double Dragon for the iPhone/iPod Touch is a re-invention of the classic with a few new twists and Game Center support, Facebook and Twitter support. Play as the Lee brothers in Dragon, Double Dragon, and Time Attack Modes while unlocking over 20 more playable characters."
Double Dragon is a long loved series and now hits the iPhone and iPod Touch. Here we see the latest launch trailer for the title released by Aksys Games just earlier tonight, Enjoy!
Aksys Games has announced that it will be bringing Double Dragon to the iPhone platform next month, as part of a relaunch of the franchise. Players will brawl once again to save the beautiful kidnapped girl!
"There are a lot of great weapons in video game land. But even with all the guns, swords, and laser cannons available, little can top the satisfaction of giving someone a beat down with your bare hands. Honestly, I dare you to try and think of a better feeling (other than sex) than rushing your enemies-knuckles clenched and ready for action-and giving them that right hook to the jaw, sending a spray of teeth, spit, and blood in the opposite direction.
One word describes it perfectly:
AW..."
"You know the formula. A pure-hearted beauty falls into the evil grasp of some snarling, spitting, mustache-twirling megalomaniac. A noble hero, driven by honor, courage and - let's face it - hormones, rushes to her aid. A brief kiss ensues and, before you can say sequel, the hapless lady has stumbled into imminent danger all over again. Tale as old as time... classic "damsel in distress."
Except sometimes, the damsel isn't worth the damn trouble. Sometimes you reach the end of your adventu..."
"But let’s be realistic. What could that game possibly be? Ninjas, kung-fu, twin brothers, a gang leader named Willy, girlfriends! This game could not possibly exist, it would contain too much awesome for an NES cart to hold. But wait, what does this press release say? Ninjas? Check. Kung-fu? Check. Twin brothers? Check. A gang leader named Willy? Check. Could it be? Girlfriend’s being kidnapped for blackmail? Check! Double Dragon (NES, 1-2 players, Rated Everyone 10+ — Mild Violence, 500 Wii ..."
Europe can't decide if it wants to be hip or boring. One week, they get lots of games. The next week? Only one.. And now this week? They get three games. Stop being inconsistent.
The first game available is a Commodore 64 action-adventure game, The Last Ninja. It features an isometric perspective, and a blend of exploration, puzzle solving, and combat.
The second game up is World Games for the C64. It is similar in style to California Games and is a part of that series. World...
Technos is a now-defunct video game company, whose claim to fame was the widely ppopular Kunio-kun and Double Dragon series.
IGN has confirmed that Aksys will be releasing three Technos NES beat-em-ups for the North American Virtual Console, starting next week. The first game released, next week, will be the hugely popular River City Ransom, followed up by Double Dragon and Renegade.
Out of the three, River City Ransom is the most anticipated after being released already on both the ...
"4. Dante and Trish - Devil May Cry Series (PS2)
If the best girl a man can find is one that reminds him of his mother, then Dante has certainly hit the jackpot. Created by the demon lord Mundus during the first game to resemble the devil hunter's mother Eva, Trish wound up developing feelings for Dante, helping him to defeat Mundus and ending up as his partner. While the fact that her feelings stem from being made in his mother's image is kind of creepy if you stop and think about it, there'..."
"Welcome to IGN's weekly countdown of the exceptional, fascinating, and absurd: something we like to call Top 10 Tuesday. Every week we'll feature the top ten games, characters, fashion statements or whatever else we can think of that in some way relates to gaming and its history. And just because it's called Top 10 Tuesday doesn't mean it's always going to be a list of the best -- we like to razz on stuff as much as we like to praise it. From counting down the best consoles ever to revealing ..."
IGN had created a top co-op list of 10 video games that used the feature best. I'm certainly glad of there No.1 choosing as I've played this game and I must say it is the best co-op game you can get. The games are on different gaming consoles and not just one. Although I'm surprised Halo 2 made it into the top 10 list because I've played this game and didn't understand what all the hype was about.
