"If Namco Bandai can recapture the programming prowess they’d clearly unlocked with the Budokai series on the PS2, we’ll be in for some brilliantly confusing and alluring DragonBall Z games in the near future. Regrettably, this isn’t quite one of them, but buying Burst Limit out of anime-obsessed compulsion won’t be the worst decision you could make this week."

It's pretty obvious what the big name release for this week is. The hype and sheer quantity of news bits we have been assaulted with over the past couple of weeks is simply quite astounding. To not give this game top billing probably would have had me burnt at the stake.

That said, there are a couple other noteworthy games releasing this week. Consider this as my personal plug for the shoot-em-up Blast Works, and the detective adventure Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles.

GamersDailyNews reviews the first DragonBall Z title on the seventh generation consoles.
Although Burst Limit continues the prolific series' trends for being a high octane, rather confusing firework show of a fighting game, it also feels to reign in the high-flying, breakneck speed of titles from the Budokai series.
Still one for the fans, this inaugral Xbox 360 and PS3 DragonBall title isn't quite the dazzling energy blast we might have hoped for.
