"For her, it's a matter of life or death.
Japanese film actress Keiko Awaji wants to play new Dragon Quest and pronto. Awaji, who has appeared in over 160 movies since 1949 including Akira Kurosawa's police noir Stray Dog, said this about DQ, "I won't live forever. I'd like to play two more games... I really want them to put out a new game once every two years." Don't we all Awaji-san, don't we all."
Spring and love and all that garbage are in the air, and with that kicks off a solid batch of games this week. The obvious blockbuster is Street Fighter IV, the fighting game for pretty much everyone, really, then the fabulous RTS Dawn of War II (the RTS even for people who don't play RTS), and two titles from equally reputable RPG series': Dragon Quest V and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.
Bon semaine!
"SquareEnix have today announces that Dragon Quest: The Hand of the Heavenly Bride will be released across PAL territories in Spring 2009, exclusively on the NintendoDS handheld system..."
Square Enix has a North American website which acts as a hub for three games: Dragon Quest IV, Dragon Quest V, and Dragon Quest VI. And in case you're confused, the DQ IV remake (also for DS) was released in Japan in November. Gamers here are still awaiting news on a local release, which should be soon. Dragon Quest IX is a brand new title for the DS which developer Level-5 has said it "hopes to finish work on the game some...
In the recent Famitsu issue here are the top 20 games most wanted from Japan's biggest games magazine. It's a really interesting list as what dominates the list in being No.1 is Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS and then followed by Final Fantasy XIII which was at No.1. Third place comes the highly anticipated Resident Evil 5. A list containing top notch games. Too bad only one game from 360 makes it.
It's not everyday that an old PS game get's remade for the DS, and it's certainly not everyday that THREE games get remade. Well that is what has happened, as the scans below show, Dragon Quest IV, V and VI, formally for various consoles are being remade for the DS, with god knows what improvements, however, I'm fairly certain that they will certainly have some additional extra's making them worth buying for all Dragon Quest fan and those new to the series.
