The third party market in the games industry is a tumultuous one, especially in Japan. Koei in particular, who has begun merger talks with fellow game publisher Tecmo. After publisher/developer powerhouse Square Enix last week announced its plans and intentions to acquire beleaguered publisher Tecmo last week, it has surfaced from Reuters Japan that the stocks for both Tecmo and Dynasty Warriors-publisher Koei are now frozen on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Both companies have begun talks for a possible merger.
